+xLooks like Lyndon Dykes is completely stinking it up in the Championship. 20 something games and 1 goal from open play. Even if he was our best striker, he would still be shit. Does not surprise me one bit. He was never good enough for the Socceroos or the Championship.

Jordan Murray scored a brace in India. The change of scenery for him is seemingly doing him wonders.

Sam Silvera got his first start in the Portuguese second tier. Played 76 minutes in a 1-1 draw. His team hasn't won in four. Also was wondering what happened to Danny Choi as he played a bit at the start of the season and he has been loaned to a third tier side. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ojogo.pt/futebol/nao-profissional/noticias/amp/campeonato-de-portugal-novidades-de-mercado-no-pinhalnovense-e-real-massama-13202017.html

Dougall started and scored one of the penalties as Blackpool beat West Brom in the FA Cup on penalties. He is so underrated. Made Gallagher look average.

Stoke already trying to lock down Souttar to a longer contract which is pretty impressive considering he wasn't even a certainty to get first team action at the start of this season. https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-harry-souttar-contract-4848947Article mentions he was featured in the Daily Mail's secret scout column recently (no idea if thats a big deal or not): https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9102983/THE-SECRET-SCOUT-Stoke-defender-Harry-Souttars-height-valuable-asset.html

Article also mentions that Stoke had the highest number of clean sheets for any English club in 2020, impressive.

Dylan Collard has played the last three games for Maritimo’s U23s. Transfermarkt has him in midfield but found this facebook page with his highlights from his management team. Is obviously playing centre back. Also noticed how tall he is and apparently he is 200cm (Transfermarkt). Now if he just breaks through we can have a CB pairing of Souttar and Collard both at 200cm, maybe let a shorty like Cam Burgess (195cm) in a back three and just play for corners. https://www.facebook.com/watch/the9011/here is a match report with a pre-game photo showing him easily taller than his team mates https://www.csmaritimo.org.pt/recuperacao-incrivel-apos-desvantagem-de-tres-golos/

anyone got any idea why kayo is only showing 1 bundesliga game for the entire round? considering it's the only top league left with australians playing, it was a big part of why i signed up. their coverage of the the bundesliga is almost non existent.

It would be interesting to see what today's crop of "Aussies Abroad" looks like, and compares to the '2001' crop of "Aussies Abroad"....

+x..... trawling on Transfermarkt. ...... I cannae count how many hours I have lost time of trawling through that site. What starts as a simple quick look at something/someone etc – turns into time passing by and I'm now looking at something completely unrelated to the reason for first visiting the site – often forgotten why I went there in the first place 😕😟🤪

Out of curiosity – quick question (really two questions).... Do you follow/support/have a favourite club – either here in Australia and/or abroad (if yes, who)?? The reason I ask is I know you follow/support and have an interest in all things 'Australia NT' and 'Aussies Abroad', but I don't recall you saying whether you follow/support a particular club or not.... 🤔

From what I know he’s played as a 10 and a striker in the past.

+xIt would be interesting to see what today's crop of "Aussies Abroad" looks like, and compares to the '2001' crop of "Aussies Abroad".... I feel a good number who were playing around low to mid level European leagues might have settled in the A League. The info given had a lot of names I wasn't too familiar with across numerous countries.

Otherwise the 2021 edition would just be this with a map next to it, so I'm not sure how much new information that would add. Unfortunately no Bangladesh for 2021 as Herd has moved on to further glory in Malaysia, having recovered from the ignominy of scoring for Aston Villa at Anfield.

Regarding Leckie and Ryan there is very little anywhere. Leckie is off contract so surely Hertha want to demand at least 1M from someone. Victory?

Must’ve got a move from Juventude São Paulo (a second division club) after impressing in the São Paulo youth tournament. We have a lot of 2002 talent if you include him: Watts, Teague, Pavlesic, JCP, Peupion, Duzel, Kirdar, Wood.

Just in Julien has Covid and 13 players will self isolate. Their game tonight goes ahead however. No mention of Rogic.

Didn't he leave Wanderers so he could be with his family in the UK?

Borrello finally makes a return to the starting XI against Braunschweig. Hopefully he won't get dragged at halftime.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
