he was doing really well at his 2nd division club (think it was Kaiserslautern) before he got injured and went to Freiburg. Had a few goals and about as many assists in 20 or so games. If he hadn't have gotten injured, I'm sure he would have continued to prosper over there.

Would be good to see him at a big club, but doubt he would get any game time there. Runarsson hasn't played a game for Arsenal yet and he is only 1 of 2 keepers they have in the squad.

He's played for them 5 times, although he won't play again after his trainwreck of a last match. Arsenal rotate keepers for Europa league and (some) cup games, so Maty would get a chance, but I don't see him getting ahead of Leno.

Hrustic started on the bench in the cup, came on with about 20 minutes to play & showed why he should be starting. Very involved, superb through ball to their striker (just offside), excellent control, excellent passing/ crossing & should have scored a goal. Got to be one of the first picked for the Socceroos now

sheesh the standard for the Socceroos jersey is depressingly low if twenty minute cameo in a cup game is enough.

Agree the standards have fallen off the way side, alot more even from the last few years ago where we had a few playing in decent leagues.

Its interesting what Coach's justify selections on. Sanchez's kicks from general play that I saw (only 3 on the shortened version on Optus) didn't make the half way line. Someone posited that the clearances were a negative for Ryan, so that was a fail. The goal had Sanchez way too far from the near post, poor positioning. He did make a couple of good saves, though.

Absolutely. I'm fully hoping they get relegated now. The way he's been treated is just so disrespectful, and doesn't really make sense. There's probably more to it than we know. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of an off field issue. Maybe he fell out with someone at the club or talked back to Potter himself. Who knows. Something must have happened. If it was just form related, he'd be on the bench and playing the cup games. The exile has been too abrupt and too final.

No, he's at the end of his peak.  All Leckie has is speed - not an insult, just an observation of fact.  Speed peaks mid-late 20s.  Linford Christie kept it into his early-mid 30s but he had chemical help.   Leckie's not an attractive prospect to other clubs - a speed player right at the end of his peak years.  

And he has never scored enough goals for his position - not even close.  I just can't see there being a lot of interest.  If he was a goalscorer it would be different.
