Consistently in the 6,500 to 7,000 range, I expect that that will probably be the norm for this season, with perhaps only the Victory and Sydney derby breaking the mould.

+x+x+x@ SutherlandBear If you read my last few posts, you will see that my comments were actually about the old FFA getting crowds of 30,000+ and 40,000+ up to their last season Which interprets that no one goes anymore. Do you attend any games ? I'm off out to Kogarah just now to enjoy this evenings match. Looks like you had plenty of elbow room tonight mate? And fuck do i need my elbow !

+x+x+x@ charlied Funny how the old FFA had no problems getting attendances of 30,000+ and 40,000+ right up to their last season... Wasn't that common, and it was pre-COVID So what? The old FFA got crowds of 30,000+ and 40,000+ right up to their last season How many games do you actually go to ?

+x+xSo little energy or interest around this season. I had not expected this. Remember how when the old FFA was running the league it was getting crowds of 30,000+ and 40,000+ right up to its last season ? Yes but what we are seeing now is the results of long term mismanagement. One thing is certain - if metrics don't improve significantly, there will be a no next TV deal. The A League is on its final warning.

+x+xAttendance ALW Nix v WS 1309 ALM Nix v WS 1948 They should have lined up an NPL side for the opener might have got a few more people through the turnstiles.... The ALW women's game was delayed due to lightning so the weather did have an effect, albeit a small one. Still 400 more than for the a Saturday game against the Mariners. Some of the RBB travelled to the game on a Friday Night and made an atmosphere. Don't recall the same vibe for Mariners game. There was a bit ore for the FFA Cup game at WIN on Wednesday.

+xMore people at the FFA Cup game in Wollongong v Mariners than at the Phoenix v Mariners game at the same venue. Maybe because Wollongong are playing at their home ground

+x+xWhy are they playing this match at penrith when you have Marconi or Sydney United grounds near by? You really have to ask ? No, just venting we just heading into a second season were teams are playing outside their areas, it just sucks hopefully we can get back to normal next season.

+x+xWellington vs WSW 3k some wanderers will wander down Brisbane vs Adelaide 7k brisbane wont do well crowd wise at redcliffe much longer melbourne city vs western 8k, slightly disappointed by the victorian crowds this season Sydney vs Newcastle 11k benefit of doubt due to matildas last week MacArthur vs mariners 4k hoping for some travelling marinators Victory vs Perth 17k assume victory will let Melbourne know sturridge is in town WP v WSW - 1,500 (WSW fan base fickle as always and won't go). BR v AU - 9,000 (8,000-9,000 seems to be their go). MCFC v WU - 8,500 (Slightly higher than their usual numbers). SFC v Jets - 7,500 (more shit weather forecast and we know how Sydney people are scared of rain). MFC v CCM - 2,500 (I'm not very familiar with Penrith, but Google Maps tells me its a little over 50km from Campbelltown). MVFC v PG - 9,500 (Sturridge factor or not, 6:45pm Sunday fucking sucks). Brisbane wet... Lucky to see 5k

Friday night in Wollongong is a hard sell, even if it the first double-header of the season with the A-League Women As for the Bullsh1tters (aka Macarthur), their poorly run club could hire 6 coaches to shuttle all of their plastics to Penrith for 50-odd minute bus trip on the recently widened Northern Rd (dual carriage way for most of the way). And Penrith Panthers don't like cutting the grass to a proper football (round ball) length so the pitch will be quite spongy so the ball won't travel well. Maybe some CCM fans will travel with about a 90 minute car trip from Gosford
