This match Wellington vs Wanderers is so nasty. Very vanilla at a neutral venue. 
Furthermore, Wollongong Do Not attract the Sponsors, never had money during NSL, have always been a Mariners (in finances) in the NSL. They will Never afford to compete in the A League, or maybe even the NSD-if it actually comes along. I have the NSD starting in 2025, and may further still blow out again. Keep an eye on the very unpopular year 2034, no explanation required, just the use laterall thinking.

I was at the CCM V Newcastle match. It had 7K in attendance. It's scary to think this was one of the better attended matches.
In all honesty, why on earth would anyone put this match on at 3pm on a summer Sunday afternoon in blistering heat. It was like standing in a fire pit. 
Every other sensible person was at the beach, fishing or boating. If this was put on at 5pm or 7pm on a Saturday I reckon it would have easily clocked 10K. 
Well done at least to central coast and newie for at least dragging in 7K.

Also equally stupid was not having any matches in Melbourne last weekend. 

One of the changes I thought was happening with the APL was the end of of these idiotic peak summer heat kick-offs.
The incompetent management of the theme competition is unending. It's so much so much depressing. 
The original plans for summer football ways back in the NSL days assumed night games tomorrow avoid the heat.
The APL has been a massive, massive disappointment on every level.

I wouldn't have thought that Sydney FC v Melbourne City has any sought of rivalry.  So far this year Sydney have larger home crowds for games against WSW, Victory and Adelaide which sounds right to me.

Good numbers by Sydney. This stadium has done wonders. Brisbane are all over the place and that stadium is too far for anyone to travel but why do they train in the Gold Coast? They have no idea how to build an identity.
