Is it true that the Vic state government has shortlisted two possible sites for the new Covid quarantine "village?" I heard Avalon Airport and Sayers Rd Tarneit but not sure if they mean the land set aside for the *cough *cough stadium. Does anyone know?

Is their u20s team, which has magically been promoted to NPL3 with the other franchises also going to be based in Tasmania? That might piss off the other real clubs in West Melbourne.

+xIs their u20s team, which has magically been promoted to NPL3 with the other franchises also going to be based in Tasmania? That might piss off the other real clubs in West Melbourne. Please keep stirring the pot. It’s so much fun :) Honestly though, this move to play matches in Tasmania is not wise. The optics of using 4 home grounds this season just screams lost and rudderless, as they can’t settle and build any engaged supporter base only playing a few matches in each place.
Playing matches in Somers Street and Geelong would likely be a better outcome, but now that Tasmania is also scheduled for 2 games next year ago, it just creates more of a nomadic feel about them. Given the opposition from Victory and City, AAMI Park won’t work next season, and continuing with Ballarat matches is likely something that would be better off moving away from.
Play some pre-season or FFA/FA/Australia Cup matches in Ballarat by all means, but It’s just hard to see any momentum with them being the Western (Melbourne/Victoria/Tasmania) United.

Their real fans and supporter base are just going to get pissed with this type of arrangement.
Not a smart move by WU management when off the field they are still trying to establish it's own sense of identity.

Great news for WU. AFL grounds will have an allowance for 50% capacity in Victoria so next time they play they should get 20k in Geelong.

Scratch that, looks like the Cats are coming back to town and the stadium has bumped them.... https://www.geelongadvertiser.com.au/sport/local-sport/why-western-united-may-not-return-to-gmhba-stadium/news-story/c9cb2b5da1f325bf14a5d4c1801225be

Glad there’s a club that can spread the game elsewhere. If it was an established club then I think this would have caused problems to their fan base. Unfortunately most regions don’t get the opportunity to experience the A-League, so this is good.
