Let them play Fifa on x-box..

In Australia our kids watch so little football that they do not get immersed into the game except when they play. This is not enough. Playing Fifa for say 10-15 hours per week is literally like a pilot siting a flight simulator and getting up the hours before they actually fly. The software these days is so sophisticated that the simulation is incredibly close to the real thing. So without having to play more football or watching more football the person playing Fifa is probably activating brain pathways ad creating myelin around decisions making, player movement, team tactics and the like.

There is some research that the best Fifa players are actually the best actual outdoor players or vice versa - point being Zlatan is a gun at Fifa and I read somewhere that a study was done on the Turkish national team who were told to spend more time playing Fifa to see if that translated to performance on the pitch.

Its also the perfect downtime entertainment and they can chat with mates. So many people I speak to don't let their kid play any computer games and this could be setting them back...
