I wonder about the logic on taking these teams on now. No games in how long? Aussies looked like they couldn’t keep the ball for over a couple of seconds. Cannot build form and understanding if you are receiving 5-0 wallopings along the way. I remember Ford saying how she only watches rugby well I think it was evident in that game football intelligence of a 2 year old. 

Distressing watching this carnage, never was an Aussie team so outplayed and humiliated. On a scale from 0 to 10, none would have rated above 2. Just scary!

A lot of work ahead.  On the past couple of performances, they'd struggle to get out of the group stages.

Look, it wouldn't be a bad idea for the FA to reach out to Staj for advise, with that winning mentality I'd say right about now.

If this happened to the Socceroos they would get baked on social media, lucky the Matildas have a better reputation but they have shown in the last 2 games they need alot of work required to be at the level of the likes of Holland, Germany etc.

10 goals in 2 games conceded, I hope the commentary focuses less on sugar coating the flaws on this team and start to be up front about it and ask honest questions in how to get the level required to match these teams.

Compare the difference between the service Kerr gets playing for Chelsea vs Australia.  She can not get the ball in these last 2 games.  Absolutely zero service.

 Admittedly the competition in the club league is not international standard but it just goes to show that club form doesn't necessarily translate internationally when the defending is a much higher standard. 

They're way off the pace aren't they?  And this determination to play out every time drives me nuts.  All they do is press high and we cough up possession.

I'm not surprised when they haven't played together as quoted below in the article but I thought they were better than these 2 last outings prior.

Having watched most of the 2 games, I'm struggling to find any positives from the performances.  Absolute shambles.  Looked like a kids team playing  against adults.   As stated by someone else, now that the European nations are taking women's football seriously, the Matildas are in danger of tumbling way down the world rankings.

If only they new what we know.

Let's face it, for one reason or another we are falling behind. We had our best chance at the last World Cup but blew it due to the Staj sacking. Many of the more traditional football nations have started to lift their game on the woman's front and we have somewhat been overtaken

Is anyone surprised that we got pumped by superior sides, who've been able to train together throughout the pandemic whereas our girls hadn't seen one another in over a year?

Then there's the technical gulf. We're not a top 10 country anymore, barely a top 20 country. I wonder if the coach realises this or is just trying to get us playing like world champions when we've largely got a squad of relegation battlers.
