+x+xIt's funny that the only people talking about ethnic wars are the Anglo's obsessed with the NSL and a few ultra try hards in OZ. Interesting article below about how the Serbs and Croats are improving ties (still a way to go) but most interesting thing is deputy PM of Croatia is a Serb (ref exert below). The actual lands where the bloodshed took place have moved on, perhaps the people in straya should also move on...... OpinionOpinion: Croatia on path towards reconciliation with Serbian minority07/08/2020 The unthinkable has happened. On Wednesday, Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Boris Milosevic attended an event commemorating the 25th anniversary of operation Oluja, or storm. It was the last major battle of the Croatian War of Independence, which raged between 1991 and 1995. The war broke out when Croatia split off from Yugoslavia; over 20,000 people died in the four years of fighting. Deputy Prime Minister Milosevic belongs to the country’s Serbian minority. His father fought with the Croatians in the independence war, and his grandmother was killed in the wake of operation Oluja. Milosevic's appearance marked the first time ever a high-ranking representative of the country’s Serbian minority joined a Croatian independence ceremony. https://www.dw.com/en/opinion-croatia-on-path-towards-reconciliation-with-serbian-minority/a-54472683 Good to see that people are moving in the right direction. But if you don't see something concerning about what looks like the majority of the Sydney United Supporters ultras group doing a fascist salute then I'm not sure where your head is mate. Croats and Serbs might be trying to make an effort in that article but what about the relationship between the Macedonians and the Croats, its not too flash. Life bans to the perpetrators of that brawl, go support Rugby League. Piss off!

+xAre Football NSW and clubs just asleep at the wheel??? If there is the slightest chance of this happening, put in some precautions or be prepared. This happened in the same week that Football Victoria presumably put pressure on North Sunshine to tell their fans to stay home and watch the live stream, to avoid anything similar to this happening at Preston!!
We should all be able to attend the football without being aware of tensions between teams and the potential of brawls, but where is the pro-activity of the clubs and the governing body to address this. For all the good stuff that’s been happening in the AL and NPL lately. with the bottles thrown and now this, it undoes it all unfortunately, and gives the MSM something to put us back in our place. Agree. The North Sunshine example was a good one, which was a move that certainly showed significant effort to ensure that these kinds of issues could be mitigated.

Unfortunately anything effnik NSL is bad but if we were to apply the same standards for other members of society then the royal family are obviously Nazis as well because Harry was pictured wearing a nazi uniform and there is footage of Queen Elizabeth doing a nazi salute as a child. Plus the army is oviously a white supremacist organisation because its most decorated soldier (Ben Roberts-Smith) was pictured in a KKK outfit. Que moral outrage and calls for these people to be banished from society....

Just gonna jump in here Preston were more than happy accommodate NSE on Saturday. NSE decided to not have their fans attend especially after the incident with springvale the friday night before. We havent really had anything happen with NSE for a couple of years now. Nothing anywhere near the scale of rockdale and sydney utd

Nothing anywhere near the scale of rockdale and sydney utd Wasn’t aware of Prestons accomodation for NSE fans, but now that you say it, I’ve remembered watching the Preston games and they actually do have what looks as though some form of security at the games in front of the active support, so perhaps Preston are putting in precautions in case this type of scenario arises.
I reckon, and it seems as though FV have put pressure on NSE to be hard on their fans. It feels like it’s three strikes and out.

+x+x+x+x+xLook who is championing this little bit of news... especially when the talk the last week has gone very negative about closed off plastic leagues..... https://mobile.twitter.com/VinceRugari/status/1386271612127744006The bald asshole never made one single comment about the Victory fans throwing bottles onto the playing field on live television but the Terrorgraphs lipstick and fashion reporter just happened to be at a NPL game between Cros and Skops? Hahahahaahah."Soccer Shame"!!!!!!! Hahahahah They kicked the plastic tray the bread buns for the cevapi rolls get delivered in and one moron picked up a bit of wood or something from the ground and its being "grassy knolled" as a machete now? Hajahahahahahah Because this shit needs to be called out and the footage clearly shows the guy holding the machete. Don't defend the indefensible. Also the obsession SMFC fans have with Vince is weird. Wasnt there mate and the image could be anything, its not exactly conclusive..... not saying its 100% NOT a machete but would be surprised if it really was. From the looks of things it was a bullshit scuffle, has been reported to police and clubs and federation are investigating bbbuuuuttttt a lifestyle reporter happened to be on the scene... what's a bet the APL lackeys where out in force this weekend with the edict.... "bring me a story and pics of the wogs fighting... anywhere It doesn't matter who or what, just anything to destract the customers from the news that no pro/rel means PLASTIC" ... BTW where was the outrage when Victory fans threw bottles at Barbarouses, and the Melbourne City female goalkeeper, or when they stormed the pitch at Lakeside and threw a bottle of bleach at a 5 year old girl? Can't speak for anyone else but I can't stand the way certain Aleague pundits actively go out to find and report on negative stories about NPL clubs (specifically ex NSL clubs, non-Italian or Jewish) but don't have the integrity or moral decency to hold their paymaster under the same scrutiny... It was a machete and two people were reported to have been stabbed. There was plenty of outrage over those events you listed on social media so there doesn't seem to be any bias at all except to those who have an axe to grind. oh fuck off. where you at the game? no you weren't so STFU it wasnt a machette, and no one got stabbed. it was cuts from flying objects, and that guy was holding a a piece of metal. what sparked the incidents was inside the ground when rockdale fans tried to attack united fans in the first half, then in the second half a player brawl happened, where 3 rockdale fans ran onto the field and hit the United GK. There is no turning back from that. what happened after the game was a merely of, if your gonna look for it, your gonna get it.

I love Croatia, awesome country and have been many times. But some of their clubs in aus have a real problem. The biggest issue is they just won’t admit it or do anything about it. Ffs you could walk into a number of Croatian clubs and see actual war criminals hanging on the walls even.
Even Balkan political and culture news services have covered this issue.

YES it was a Michette! Look further up at the pictures, also, Cornthwaite and Garb were talking about it just a little while ago on the ABC Football Podcast. They called it out for what it was and the ass-wipe slashed two people with it. Why was it at the Football? Ten years jail would suffice with some hard cons around him, he will learn a lesson! no it wasnt, look at the photos again you flog. it was a piece of metal, that's just laying around at rockdales ground, it's not like the chap brang it to the stadium.

You’d think a club would make a statement considering they’re on every major news network, you know to at least make themselves look like a professional entity and distance themselves from it. But then again maybe they support it.

That idiot that held that object was called out on the news and various football podcasts for holding a michette. Now, if it was not one, but looked the same size and shaped like a large shank, thats close enough to a michette, as it looks like on the photo dickhead. Anyone condoning that action should piss off out of football like I indicated earlier. Go back to drag racing on Sydney streets.

Had a few people from work that rarely get into sport let alone football mention about it, it also made the news as one of the main stories too.
There is nothing good that comes out of it this as it gives football a bad look regardless of what people think about it.

+xHad a few people from work that rarely get into sport let alone football mention about it, it also made the news as one of the main stories too. There is nothing good that comes out of it this as it gives football a bad look regardless of what people think about it. That politics expressed the other day, politics of the past, are not going anywhere as they are part of Slav history. Its not meant to be forgotten.ie. Illinden independence on 1903 and so on. Other conflicts are part of our soccer history as well ie. Olympic fans attacking Hakoah fans and so on. Why it has to translate into violence at the soccer in order for people to make a statement, will not go away. Conflicting cultures in a confined space. There must be a ban on fans from this current violence for a season for now. Monoethnic organisations must never be part of a 2nd division because of the obvious influences of violence from overseas cultures. They were part of the building blocks, as part timers, of the current profesdional A League. How can the FA take such an irresponsible chance? Yes it is a shame.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+xLook who is championing this little bit of news... especially when the talk the last week has gone very negative about closed off plastic leagues..... https://mobile.twitter.com/VinceRugari/status/1386271612127744006The bald asshole never made one single comment about the Victory fans throwing bottles onto the playing field on live television but the Terrorgraphs lipstick and fashion reporter just happened to be at a NPL game between Cros and Skops? I guess 2 years ago when your supporters jumped onto the field and attacked Wollongong wolves players and threw objects onto the field, wolves fans should have had the right to throw bricks at you and attempt to carve you up like a kebab? Instead, you guys slashed the tires on their teams bus...
where have i ever stated that United fans are angels? As for sunday, a lot more is going to come out...you and i both know who the instigators and aggressors were. Again it's always at your ground, lack of security, lack of police, lack of organisation, by you and your committee. tisk tisk tisk You blokes could have just left after the game, but u waited in the carpark for 5-10 minutes for our supporters to emerge and armed yourselves, but hey, what would I know...

Yep. Had the misfortune of listening to JJ get eviscerated just then. I mean he tried to wriggle out as best he can but what can you say when boneheads like this cause a ruckus.

That is not the case, history shows croats and macos get along. This turn of events wasnt racially motivated. this fight is no different to what has happened in the AL matches. the lawnmower blade was found in the stadium laying around on the grass, along with other objects. Rockdale have a container at their ground, which they dont seem to use. not safe for any fans, let alone kids playing there.
