How many of you can tell me if your state (Nsw, Vic etc) offer different pathways/oppurtunites to Boys verese Girls?
I am a parent of a Girl in the State of QLD. We live in a rural area where boys get a chance to make it into a QLD Country Squad to play in the nationals but the same is not offered for the Girls!!
Is Qld the only state that discriminates?

Girls develop quicker than boys. If theyre any good they could/should be playing seniors (women) when theyre 13. I guess thats the pathway. There hasnt really been a womens football scene, no money in the womens game, until now. Federations cant really pump money into things they know they wont get a return on. Now with the W-league though and football as a whole growing in this country people, not just girls, have places to go.

Thanks MK0825

She is already playing Open Womens at 13, it just sucks this day and age that associations can do this. Yes it is all about money and if there was plenty to go around I wouldnt be posting this.
Looks like I am in the wrong state.
I left NSW 3 years ago (work) when she was a youngster playing her first year for Marconi. Aged 10 picked in the U12's
