If Daggers gets Roos cap so should Folami with assist and goal like that

I don't want to say it, but Ikon is a shadow of his former self since the knee injury. He was one of our best at the last Asian cup & before he got injured was outstanding. Now Folami is keeping him on the bench most games - tonight was a perfect example. 

Bruno Fornaroli is a shock selection, FIFA must have changed the eligibility rules because I didnt see this one coming.

We know the production of strikers coming through is quite bare due to developmental reasons which is for another time to discuss but it seems like Arnie is getting desperate for answers which is worth a try if you ask me.

Can't argue there. Ikon still has a very good instinct and talent but is probably just outside the 23. Folami should get the chance.

Mooy with Covid now so this frees on the midfield question. We're so stacked there it's shame the talents can't just transform to elsewhere on the pitch. 

I'm more disappointed with McGree's absence. I think he has the ability to unlock games atm.

I think Boro have been very cautious with him. Still 8 days away so hopefully he's just about ready again. He's got the in doubt tag currently so we'll know tomorrow what that means. 

Stensness has apparently been called up which is a good selection.

Rukavysta not vaccinated so cant travel, have a feeling this may be the case with Deni Juric hence why he hasnt been picked

Good chance now for Generau, Luongo and Dougall to step into midfield, both have been playing mins in the championship, ligue 1 and league one respectively. 

For the first time ever it seems, Goodwin has built on his form that got him his last Socceroos call up. Very happy for him and expect he will make the squad and play a part.

Daggers isn’t a technique wizz, but his pace and unpredictability will see him in the squad. We need someone who can join Boyle for the transitions. Boyle is one of the fastest players I have ever seen, and with Daggers following him, they could be devastating on the counter. Expecting such opportunities against Japan. Saudi’s I suspect will sit back comfortably behind the ball.

Lastly, we know that Folami is inexperienced, but bloody hell he’s a good player with real x-factor about him. I would love to see him in the squad and potentially play a role. His contributions for Victory last night were outstanding.

This would be my team, except maybe Hrustic in for Jeggo.

I like it, but id have Sains in the middle so he can dribble the ball forward when we struggle to find a pass out from the back.

A couple questions here,

Why select 4 strikers when Arnie often deploys a 4-2-3-1?
And why select Grant when you have Karacic and Atkinson as your other right backs and I know who are the better choices.

Let's hope the improvement is there to try and qualify automatically but this is quite an big squad even with covid as a factor at least half of the squad won't be used at all you would think.

hes selected 3 right backs and only 3 natural centre backs with stensnes being the other backup albeit hes more midfielder.  wtf.  and kye rowles is the backup centre back aswell?  trash squad. 

It's a squad of 27 so are we permitted to travel with that many and omit 4 per game? I wish we picked a few players who have more versatility. Stensness covers some areas. Dougall and Atkinson would cover CM, RW and RB respectively so Grant doesn't even need to be there. All these midfielders but are the younger ones going to get a go? Not in this big games I guess but we won't improve until they play more in the system. Admittedly if Juric and Volpato enter the frame is already looks better. Folami is kicking on also. Post WC cycle a lot of deadwood needs to go.

Would be a great lineup but dreamin under arnold…

That was the toughest decision for me, hrustic or more Defensive DMS and I ended up going with Hrustic to come off the bench and have an impact.
