I think Celtic will beat Rangers to the title this year. It wouldn't have been good for SG's reputation. Anyways, I'm loving watching Celtic play and hopefully the good times continue.

Directors loans will be converted to shares, so no real debt at all.

There is 29 million pounds of debt over and above the investor loans. The auditors are not convinced the club will be able to continue as a going concern in the foreseeable future.

The club clearly has debt.

Take away the intangible assets (which may or may not have a realisable value) there is a 7.5 million pound deficiency of equity.

That is worrying. It is vital that the club survives for the good of the SPL. Things will right themselves if you win the league this year.

I might be completely off the mark here but it makes me think of Leeds when they first went bankrupt. If Rangers win the league they get the automatic Champions League place next year and so will have the money to survive. It looks like they're overspending in the hope of guaranteeing that Champions League spot. It might work for a year or 2, but Leeds showed us that it doesn't work forever. Hell, even Barcelona is showing us that.

there's no shortage of premier league jobs.  up to half the clubs look for new managers every year.  ange can get some runs on the board with celtic and then go - and go somewhere looking for a long term project

At one stage Postecoglou was being criticized when he rested key players in the league ahead of Europe.  What I found strange is how the Celtic fans seem  to be so committed that winning the league should be the top priority, by a long way over European competition.

Reminds me of the Queensland State of Origin League of the '90's. They would thump NSW, and then a majority would be selected in the Australian team. After losing the first game of an international series, the selectors would revert to majority NSW Australian team which would clean up the series easily.
