+x+xAnge could have left but he stayed till the Socceroos qualified First, and they did, then he moved on. No abandonment there. Lol. I’m one of ange’s biggest fans but I think it’s a little rich to have this approach. He bailed, pretty simple. That view is not accurate, the Ffa didn't back him and he has his principles, so no, you are not a big fan of Ange with your view. Also, Arnold only attacks people with his arrogance and his Socceroos are about to fo out the back door.

It was a whole issue back then, Ange with Gallop went to the press conference together when Ange resigned. Don't play ignorance. They didn't share his vision of instiling a blueprint going into the future, a chance to become a threat. The FFA and influential media types were only content with making the World Cup and that's all that mattered as far as Australian Soccer is concerned.

+x+x+x+xbam bam...give us some more boys. Not sure that Ange did all he could though if he left just before a world cup. If he wasn't forced out he left the team high and dry imo. we managed to get a pretty decent replacement to be fair As a short term replacement. We cannot afford/ will not pay top dollar for the type of long term overseas managers that Davstar wants. They shouldn't be so tight with money - if Arnie is no longer getting the job done , just spend the money and get some one new in to qualify us for the WC. Don't be so Tight ! It's just a bit of money after all. Put football first ! Not arguing at all with that - just stating the history as it stands.

I dunno about saying Arnold did well at Mariners, probably the last decent generation come through there the league that had some talent, that were all together.
Rogic, Ryan, Amini, Bozanic, Sainsbury, Ibini - All have gone to Europe successfully in most parts. He also had Sterjovski who played well when he came back.
A better coach would of won more tbh.
I forgot Duke too haha basically the socceroos team.

+x+xAs for Rafa he was just an example of someone well known - right now our Socceroos have close to Zero start power, the team is rubbish on the field and rubbish from a marketing point of view. If we at least had a respectable name at the helm it would give fans something to talk about and give fans some hope. Football needs media and right now the socceroos are ghosted due to being at the lowest level in decades No offense mate but this whole preoccupation with 'marketing' is a sizable part of why the game in this country is ar$e-backwards... All the marketing in the world isn't gonna convert Pauline Hanson, Sam Newman or their respective acolytes to 'the sokkah' in a trillion years...so pray tell why are we still at it? The only people who need concern themselves with football in this country are football fans, not the bogan masses ensconced in their safe-spaces away from the world at large💡 You might have a point same could be said with people like me and Cricket I don't care about cricket and anyone who supports it I go no time for. All the marketing jn the world will never get me to watch a match bcuz I actually think the sport is a big waste of time. However I need to point out we manage to get 95k to a Meaningless Liverpool friendly against Melbourne victory in a rubbish for football (MCG) but can get over 10k to watch City play Western United. We can get 17k people turn up to see an unfit Daniel Sturriage....same can be said with selling it the house when David Becks LA Galaxy is jn the house etc There is a lot more interest in football then the current domestic competition and national team is drumbing up...
these Kangaroos can play football - Ange P. (Intercontinental WC Play-offs 2017)
KEEP POLITICS OUT OF FOOTBALL
