Brisbane have a number of triallists playing tonight.

Former Perth striker Joe Knowles is starting while on the bench is Abraham Majok who plays for the South Sudan national team nowadays, Lions FC keeper Jacson Riley, Ryo Matsumura who is a Japanese winger who's spent the last few years in Thailand, Henry Cliff (who I know nothing about) and Tommy Jarrard who is a defender at Lions FC.

Some of our players need to get a move on. Sainsbury's Qatar move doesn't appear official but for a news article. I'm not too concerned about Boyle but he'll need game time. Hibs love him but it's somewhat awkward coming back like this.

Rogic is Rogic.

I had the thought about Rowles struggling to get games early on in his Scottish adventure and how that could affect his selection chances. There's no doubting his potential but I think he currently needs games for the sharpness boost. 3-5 games in a rough first half of season would suffice for Arnold. 0 and we can talk.

Thought I read Sains had gone to Saudi league...

I also read speculation on the Hearts board he might be a target for them. They really are becoming Oz Utd.

Qatar. Hearts colours are Qatar colours so the former please! There was a news article that it was done a fortnight ago but nothing really concrete. It'll happen. Everyone's just chilling.

Some links to Sittard. He's already cashed in and is clearly not interested in pushing himself. PSV was a shambles but what should you expect under MVB the hack?

Francois signed a new contract with Fulham. Announcement was made via Fulham Twitter.
He’s doing preseason training with the squad. It would be good for him to go out on loan this season.

anyone know why aussies seem to leave it really late in the window before they move? it always put you in a bad position as your not fit when your come in mid to late pre-season and the coach has already figured out his starting 11. I just don't get it, are they all holding out for a chinese/me contract or just dont have any interest? especially in a WC year. seems illogical to me anyone going to a WC seems to want to be in top shape/fitness look at Bale and Sterling.

Works both ways. Clubs working through their wish lists of players. Can only assume some of the Aussies are closer to the bottom of those lists than the top. Miss out on a few targets and it pushes everything back.

As much as I like Aaron Mooy to join Celtic under Ange, im not sure he suits the way the way they play especially how mobile the midfield is with the ball speed and movement which it presents itself.
Mooy often hides away from possession and he's hardly mobile enough which is why Ange employed a 3-4-3 box midfield with Rogic at the later end of the WCQ campaign in 2017 because they are not known for there mobility and counter pressing which was exposed when they played a 4-3-3.

He should have joined a team that would suit he style that would mean getting possession and launching counter attacks with his passing like Huddlesfield Town were back in the day in the EPL.

Looking at Celtic they needed a No.6 as it was a weakness under Ange especially in Europe, so this is interesting.

I have mixed feelings about this move. On the one hand, I  agree that his mobility, or lack thereof, might be an issue in Angeball. On the other hand, I  was never a fan of his move to Huddersfield. He had way too much defending and general donkey work to do. That meant less time on the ball for his passing game - his strength - to shine. He would have been better at a strong club in Bundesluga or Serie  A, imo. So now moving to a dominant club like Celtic should mean more time on the ball than he would see at a club like Huddersfield, and that's to his advantage.

I think if he is next to a mobile 6 and a mobile 10 he would be absolutely lethal. He will have that and if he hasn't declined I think he is a step up and what they have currently

Celtic fans are impossible. Why would a Spfl team want an ex EPL midfielder that is about to play in his 2nd WCup?! Just a pack of whingers who will never be happy- just like how they whinged about Ange taking charge of their ‘oh so precious’ team.
Just STFU and be glad Mooy is even interested enough to play for your team FFS

Ange has proven his skills and if he wants Mooy in his team it’s end of story

You'd think they'd learn to maybe wait and see given how ridiculous they looked following their dismissal of Ange.

Nope, straight back to it apparently.

Hehe, you are so funny with some of your comments, along with how much value you place making a World Cup squad.

As for Mooy signing, I'm personally fine with it. It was a free transfer, and if he is seen more as a 6, then he adds some depth to a position we don't have any real depth in (we really need a proper 6 who is better than what we have - Mooy isn't that IMO). It will be interesting as to how he will be used, along with what sort of minutes he will get.

Premadonna - 'an undisciplined prick that finds it hard to work with a team' unless things are going well! Explains them to a tee.
