That’s what we fighting against.
AFL or Rugby League they’d be raming it down your neck!!!

Blame our wonderful national body for some of it, and until they stop sitting on their arses and do something about more free to air it’s not gonna change.

Theyve got the biggest participation but no desire to translate that into spectator Numbers or tv support.

some leadership!!

It's an argument for a winter season (or more accurately, an autumn-spring season), to be honest. At present we get to kick off the season after AFL/NRL winds down, but once you get to the phase that should have the most interest in it (the last rounds of the regular season and the finals), it comes right in the middle of the other codes and struggles to get coverage.

If you had a March-November season, certainly the A-League would be second-fiddle for most of the season, but the climactic part of the season would be in October-November when there really is nothing else on, so you could in theory at least get a couple of months of decent media coverage.

your pretty much talking about a claytons model or more so take the crumbs - enjoy the rewards for a couple of months whilst the other 2 are in slumber and accept declines when they re start.
What a business model that is........
They need  "crowds" and an exciting comp that is lacking both.
IF you can't pull in current invested football supporters that are in the plenty you are NOT going to drag in newbies as it currently stands, apart from the "hype" of the finals what is there for the casual supporter thinking lets go to a APLM game ?
Just being realistic, NSD and proper pyrimid is the only roll of the dice left to play.
APLM is not going to cut it on its lonesome in this little place and P+ money is only going to smooth over their cracks and owners pockets.

This is the broadcaster that saved our hide, and in truth, they probably did.
But it's also the broadcaster which is about to throw a record sum of dollars at the AFL to try and get them across for 5 or 6 seasons.
It will be at least ten times the amount of money the A-Leagues currently get, at least.
And it will mean multiple shows per week dedicated to the AFL (when the A-Leauges got precisely none).
We were always intended to be the entree in readiness for the main course.
I think I've seen this movie before.
