Robbie Thomson is a well spoken and natural sounding speaker. Always a big plus to hear someone speak articulately without artificial excitement and hype in their voice. Unusual choice of t-shirt too (daido moriyama - smoking lady on bed). Arty, nudity, smoking...footbawl? I don't mind McBreen as a commentator. He can mumble a bit and get caught in sentences but I find his opinion pretty honest and worth listening to. Milligan is just Milligan - I can't get past him being himself to see him as anything other than Millsy. Funny to see them trying to discreetly check the notes they have sitting beside them on their lounges. A desk allows a bit more professionalism and somewhere to line up your notes at least but they are obviously trying for the causal chat lounge approach. I am afraid I listened for awhile and found it to be very similar to the halftime chats which I normally avoid by making a cuppa. The subject matter did not grab me. For me, not a fail but I wouldn't bother watching it weekly or however frequently based on the intro and first segment of Episode 5. Talk more in depth, or include information that I can't glean myself just by watching games and it gets closer to a football show I would watch. The idea of additional varying guest presenters appeals more too - and also (especially) if they have a regular refereeing expert discussing some of the 'strange' calls we see or uncommon situations that can come up in advance (diving header as dangerous play vs high boot, when 'ball to hand' is OK, impeding a keeper and challenging for a keeper's ball, foul carrying into the box, and so on. That stuff I find more entertaining than simply discussing what we already saw in games. Edit: I also hate the name. It will alienate people more than attract them, and falsely led me in thinking it was discussion about rules :)
