I accept what is with football in this country, I followed the NSL, I didn't follow a team, but I followed the players, now I follow the A-League & I have a team in Sydney FC. But always I followed football in this country especially the Socceroos.
You can follow whoever or whatever you like, thats not the point. Doesn't matter how old I am or what "my daddy's dreams" were (pretty sad attempt to insult btw) it IS the 21st century and we live in a wonderfull country, one which endorses the principle of multiculturalism and defends the rights of its citizens to establish those institutions they want/need to express those principles. If you dont want to associate with one of them or any of them and just support the indigenous cause thats your right (nobody gives a fuck) but that doesnt mean you can call for the ones you dont like/support to be abolished or to not be included in mainstream Australia.. If the guys at Edensor Park see themselves and their culture in a certain way who are any of us to judge that? He went on to say that those who had no belief (God or otherwise) were going to be crap scientists - because having belief in something beyond 'what we know for fact' was a key element of being open to the unknown - which is really what scientific research is about. I found that interesting. I understand that scientist’s point - but scientific theories must eventually be proven with/as facts - otherwise they are simply not proven to be true.
