He's good, but so is every A-League keeper. He just happens to be in a great squad. I bet if he was at WU or Macarthur he wouldn't even be in the conversation. Gauci is definitely the pick of the A-League keepers. AU defence isn't as strong as other clubs, so Gauci has been tested far more than Glover has. Glover did take a bucket full of sand to the head and stayed on his feet so that's something.

I would like to register my appreciation of Danny Vuckovic who has played for the national team through the various levels. There seems to be quite a lack of acknowledgement of players when they retire from international duty. Maybe this is part of the (lack of) football culture in this country.

haha cheeky above.... I agree - I actually luv Vuka to me he's like a ol skool aggressive keeper. I actually wished he played more than Ryan at times tbh even though others will disagree. He puts his body on the line and beasts his area. Has had a great career, his SFC tenure he was a huge getting a title, Genk Player of the Year - thanks for your NT service Vuka.

Arnie was planning to choose him for a send off game and Vuka decided he didn't want/need one. What do you want the 9 people on this forum to do? Have a whip round?

Yes I too would like to say thanks to Vuka for his services to the National team. His season at Sydney FC was the best single season performance I have seen from a GK in the A-League, he was outstanding. Add that to his son making a few appearances to the old faithful, melts the heart.

He really should have played more for Roos when he was at SFC cos he really was incredible then- probably as good or even better than Ryan back then - very intimidating GK 👏

Which Aus Goalkeeper to take the spot? Birighitti Izzo Gauci Thomas Maynard-Brewer
And Redmayne is not in form either. Drop him.
Glover will not get another shot imo

He sat on the pine for too long at Dortmund. He should have badgered his agent for a move to a move to the Dutch,Belgian,Championship or mid level Bundesliga team much earlier. He is probably the best shop stopping keeper of that crop of keepers including Ryan,Vuka and Redmayne.
