3 Sydney United Fans convicted the other day...essentially promoting nazism. That's not going to be a good look when you want to travel or get a job
Magistrate Joy Boulos found beyond reasonable doubt that the three men had “deliberately and intentionally” performed the Nazi salute, rejecting their arguments the hand gesture was a symbol of Croatian national pride.
Boulos rejected Sieben’s evidence, given to police in an interview outside his home after the match, that he did not know the salute was connected with Nazi Germany.“I find it inherently implausible that a young man with a western education in this day and age would not know what a Nazi salute is,” she said.

There's a lot of animosity towards EVs. Some factual, some fictional BUT the one over arching thing I like about them is when they're fully a thing we won't be held hostage to a bunch of mad arabs stuck in the 14th century. That day can't arrive soon enough.

Inshallah ..... :P We produce 50% of the worlds lithium and have a fuck ton of rare earths. This isn't the end of battery technology, it's the beginning. The minute they invent an EV battery that's cheap, lasts 20 years, has a range of 1000kms and takes 10 minutes to charge, it's all over. ( https://www.pcmag.com/news/toyota-touts-solid-state-evs-with-932-mile-range-10-minute-charging-by)Just about every invention in science was once science fiction. The day we can tell those cunce to fuck off is coming.

The race is on for either solid state electric storage or one of the many alternatives to Lithium out there Sodium, Boron, Ive even hear people reseaching water or calcium... exciting stuff and fascinating field of research I agree... Economic reality means though, at least if the past has taught us anything, is that resource acquisition will often be through the cheapest means, environment and shitty despotic regimes be damned....
