yep, sure hit his confidence never near the same afterwards whereas others comeback as if nothing happenned.

Real shame hit him at the worst time of his then promising career, all water under the bridge now.

I remember Arzani going onloan to Utrecht after and had some really encouraging moments and was getting some good minutes.
The coach went to Germany from memory and the new coach came in and froze Arzani out straight away.

Hmmm maybe lets see how he goes (if he ever gets any match time that is) before the whole "deserves to be playing in Europe" bit.

Personally I dont rate the kid at all, but admittedly only every seen him in a few national team games and the Aleague grand final... Olyroos apart from one goal (on debut I think?) and Socceroos I would say pretty weak in making meaningful space for himself.... A bit small physically and doesnt seem to handle the physical argy bargy well which would put him at a disadvantage in Scotland... Arzani was the same (in my eyes anyway) In the Aleague grand final I didn't even notice him playing, the young fullback, can't remember his name, had him in his pocket the whole match.  

Nobody "deserves" to be playing in Europe, they need to prove they can cope... He should have gone to a less physical, slower league ... again just an opinion.

Some players never come back from AN ACL. Okon was never the same player after his. Arzani was out for a long time, much longer than usual for an ACL. There were obviously unusual complications. 

You have to DOMINATE the A-league to deserve European football. 

I think some people overrate flashes of form in the A-league and automatically translate that to a worthy move to Europe. 

99% of European players in the top 25 leagues are better than Australians. 

You literally have to be in the 99th percentile as an Aussie to really make it in Europe. Tilio is nowhere near that. 

One could make a case that a league like the K or J-league might be better suited, but then the majority of their home-grown players are better than Tilio so what's the point. 

Tilio is just an average player. He's middle of the bell curve in just about every department in a fairly low-grade league.

So you’re saying that 10 goals and 5 assists which put him 5th place overall in the whole league in terms of goals and assists combined isn’t enough for Celtic to pay a record transfer fee?

Honestly some of the takes of here are ludicrous…I’m sure scouts who look at our players know more than someone on an internet forum. 

Stating the obvious there pal. That's their job. 

Look at his stats for passing, crossing, successful dribbles, shooting accuracy. 

Whilst his 10 goals / 5 assists is a good start, players should be getting in the "teens" for goal involvements for 2-3 seasons in the A-league before moving to Europe. 

Ok then to prove your point, give me one example of a player that has achieved ‘teen’ numbers in terms of goals and assists and achieved a record transfer fee to a big club?

Ill give you a hint I can’t think of many that has done this in recent times…
