+x'Melbourne City and Western Sydney Wanderers - appear to possess a fiscal presence robust enough to traverse turbulent currents with any degree of certitude.' i'd imagine MVFC would be fairly safe SFC bleeds money but it seems some rich NSW flog is always happy to throw money at them as well Adelaid United also seem to be in safe hands although the rest of the league is hit and miss WSW asked players to take a wage haircut and when their goalie didnt accept it they STILL haven't paid out his contract, hardly a "fiscal presence" https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/goalie-seeks-half-a-million-from-former-a-league-team/ar-AA1em5Fr?ocid=mailsignout&pc=U591&cvid=0d5da12ad03d4f1e911f93ad7b0bb5e1&ei=50Adelaide United were up for sale one minute and then "not interested in selling" the other and as for MV, their 777 overlords are facing litigation in half a dozen countries at the moment... things aren't as rosy as you portray mate.

+xSome people may not like this journos’ style but the fact is the A leagues cannot survive in its present form. It is financially unsustainable and it’s quite laughable to think that anyone is going to pay $25 million for a licence to lose many millions more in operating costs. I don't like those journo's style or his accuracy. However, a broken clock is right twice a day. TBH I hope Perth's issues are sorted quickly.

Looks like a salary cap is a good idea for the franchises then? Maybe they need an annual draft like AFL NFL?

Brisbane Roar is set to fill just three of its five permitted visa player spots as the A-League club slashes costs under the new off-field leadership team of Kaz Patafta and Zac Anderson.
Roar coach Ross Aloisi was hoping to sign two more foreigners – a striker and a playmaker – to complement the two visa players already in Brisbane’s squad, powerful English defender Tom Aldred and classy Irish midfielder Jay O’Shea.
However, with squad budgets having been slashed since this month’s arrival of chief executive officer Patafta and chief operations officer Anderson, Aloisi has been forced to change his plans. A foreign striker will still be signed, but the team’s chief playmaker is now set to come from Brisbane’ existing squad or new signing, former national under-17 skipper Joe Caletti, who is set to arrive in Queensland from Japan this weekend to start his second stint with the Roar.
“There is a great opportunity for one of our Australian players to step into that No.10 (playmaker) role,” said an optimistic Aloisi, whose side beat NPL Queensland club Peninsula Power 2-0 in a trial on Wednesday night.
“We have a restricted player budget, so we’ll only have three visa players in our squad. “It’s a great chance for a lot of the squad’s younger players to make a mark in the A-League.“We’re all working hard and working together.”
The Roar’s cost-cutting has also led to the departure of general manager Ante Kovacevic, who was told his services were no longer required despite him being contracted to the club for another year. Kovacevic, who had been hired by the club’s previous chief executive officer Chris Fong, is set to demand the entirety of his contract is paid out. Aloisi’s squad continues to train at Brisbane Grammar School’s sport grounds at Northgate, with the expected move to the South Pine Sports Complex at Brendale having been canned. The Roar is in negotiations with the Queensland Rugby Union about using Ballymore as a training base, while Wynnum Wolves’ Carmichael Park home is also understood to be an option.
