Completely agree with this. Can only hope the referees apply it consistently at all times in every game.

I am all for the refs pulling a card on intimidatory behaviour.

One player forcing the ref to back away is enough to warrant a card - forget the mass stuff. First one in their face gets a warning to backoff immediately then a card. Surround the ref and you all get one. Won't take long for managers to cut that behaviour out when they see that action is taken and not just threatened.

How about the players surround and abuse their own captain then the Captain can choose to respectfully approach the ref as it should be...

Article also tells us that VAR is definitely still planned to stay if that was in doubt. I may have missed any news about it coming back after their technical/company problems.

When I wear their colours, I am the club.

Not before time.

On other matters. I'd hate to be 4th official at any match. They're basically there just to be an outlet for both managers to abuse. Hope they do something about that too.
