Don't just Vote, let's hear your favorite examples.
Doesn't have to be recent either, Tradition is a big part of the game.

NSW - Because they generally don't care about anything west of the mountains. Big reason why the big Griffith and Wagga clubs are essentially tied to to ACT now, and Albury's eggs are all in the Victorian basket.

Western NSW they protected to the point of it being over the top. Expanded NPL 3 so they wouldn't get relegated, gave them 2/3rd's of games at home & let them appoint their own refs

yer there are many circumstances over the years as such and surely thats in every State. One major contributer to the cluster F all State levels was the divide upon AL introduced. States imo only worried about revenue more than anything else and overlooking the nuts and bolts below. Private academies evolved in numbers causing other issues for local clubs. They have all done their wrongs - espcially how the AL Clubs have been provided paths into NPL here in NSW. Whereas you see in Vic MV for eg weren't given the higher path entry. We saw MBulls cut a deal with Northbridge and walk into NPL1. I used to see Mariners have easy paths Jnrs playing YL from Bathurst/Mudgee/Lithgow and the reffing was heavily stacked towards CCM, don't know why but you saw this and comments from other age groups. Why is it that SFC/WSW could gain entry to NPL1 whereas Jets/CCM not ? Where/why is the accountability and earning your right to play in the top flight - thats what should have been done from the beginning. Trouble is every State is their own entity is main issue - why as a sport does every State have its own rules.

Queensland seem to be having a good go recently.
1. Threatening teams from applying to the NST 2. Excluding Sunshine Coast Fire before they were accepted into the NST 3. Suing Bonita Mersiades
Cavallucci seems to be at the centre of most things, including the Brisbane City failed A-League Bid
Is it him or just a co-incidence ?

CCM was originally placed in PL1 back in 2013, SFC/WSW started in NPL 2 and I remember hearing stupid rumours around the grounds that they "didn't want to come up" idiots lmao Jets were the only team that they made work up the pyramid & they still haven't been able to get out of the lowest possible division 5 years later.

+xyour memory is better than me - I don't recall SFC/WSW winning PL2 mind you, so they started there and got elevated to 1 right ? SFC won NPL 2 the first year they entered the system & got promoted. WSW played in 2020 because Sutho didn't play & Arnie thought it would be better for the A League teams to be in the highest possible division for Olyroos prep. They got dropped back down the year after & got promoted last year because the leagues expanded to 16 teams

Expanded NPL 3 so they wouldn't get relegated, gave them 2/3rd's of games at home & let them appoint their own refs And how many clubs from Western NSW have ever been in NPL3 mate? Western Mariners, and Wagga (who only ever got to State League, and definitely weren't good enough back then, and caught no breaks whatsoever). And of course the associations over there are going to appoint the refs - because FNSW don't train refs over there, and can't be arsed sending them down with the teams as well. Everything like that for the past 5 years or so has been through ACT instead. Would much rather Capital Football be allowed to fully expand into South-Western NSW. Now... I know at youth level is a different story with the 2/3rds games - but I guarantee everyone would still be complaining at travel if it was 50-50. Hence the Capital Football statement I made earlier, but even then, numpties in Canberra (the parents) don't want to travel for 4 hours once a season because they think they'll get their BMW's dirty and run out of blinker fluid, or heaven forbid they take the Tesla and can't recharge in Harden.

Also implementing a half-arsed and incomplete game management system this season just finished, that was a complete dogs breakfast. There had to be some kickbacks happening there.

I understand your pov from your end and I got to hear the challengers from Southern Districts side being aligned with Sydney YL for eg...... I used to travel to Nowra and surrounds with my son and got to know some parents who were Bowral based. Hardest is the geography as you'd expect - some were saying to make training 3 times a week (some from Young for eg) was the issue let alone driving to games in Bathurst/Mudgee and even a Central Coast game on weekends. (mind you I loved all those road trips and at times stayed overnight) No way could that work and I don't think it fair entirely FNSW blame. It makes complete sense Wagga/Griff/Albury align with ACT - VicPL. I agree CapFootball should be motioned to expand South/West NSW makes sense to me.

And I think it makes a lot of sense for Capital Football to absorb the Riverina Branch (and possibly further). Issue I see with it mainly is, there's not a lot of football education on this side of the divide. Referees don't get the chance to get higher levels, and coaching licences were an issue. It's been good since 2017, when Griffith/Riverina Rhinos/Yoogali SC first jumped into the NPL here in ACT, as Capital Football would assist in facilitating these courses for these areas. That's now helped moreso with Wagga jumping in as well.
