Positive moves for Hrustic and Francois. I think we've missed creative mids this Asian Cup, be it in the XI or as bench options. The more creative midfielders we have playing the better. Netherlands and Denmark are good leagues.

One that I've missed over the past few days (don't think I saw it on here either - so either we missed it, or I'm blind)
Gabriel Popovic on loan until end of season from Catania in Italy's Serie C, to Fiorenzuola (also in Serie C - diifferent regional division). Popovic had been named on the bench since December (7 matches) and played 15 minutes across 2 matches off the bench.

Macarthur have signed Tommy Smith from MK Dons. Pretty underwhelming ngl given his age and that he was warming the bench in League Two.

+x+xMelbourne Victory have signed Roly Bonevacia for the remainder of the season. Very Lazy signing Is it? I'm curious, what makes you think that? I admit he's a bit of a unexpected signing but not sure how he's a lazy signing.

I think they are signing him just because he was good in the a league years ago rather then finding another player who could be better. We'll see in the next few months how he goes

We'll see in the next few months how he goes I think Bonevacia will improve Victory. He essentially replaces Rai Marchan who was a bench player for us. Rai was a steadying influence when we were terrible but doesn't know how to play a progressive pass. Bonevacia is much more positive and builds our midfield depth.

+x+x+x+x+x+xReports Joe Gauci on the brink to sign for Aston Villa. Hope that's untrue. Loans are a poor pathway for Aussies in Europe. The clubs they get loaned to have no financial stake in their development. Typically they return to the A-L after a few seasons. We've seen this movie numerous times, particularly in Germany. we have alot of history there though, Bosnich is still highly regarded and guys like Herd, Lowry, Holman etc. I think its a good move. Don't think Herd, Lowry and Holman would be highly regarded at Villa- they played there during one of Villa's worst ever seasons. Maybe not Holman, but I remember Herd scored a goal against Liverpool to get a point at Anfield to help them stay up. I just dont get why everyone wants to always bag our old players... why are you even on here for? I usually don't bag our old players, but Herd and Lowry were certainly not amongst our top players back then. Im not saying they were good holy fuck, what im saying is we have a had a bunch of aussies come through the club... which is quite rare for an EPL club. Sounds like you would be better off in a brazilian football forum... they might be up to your standard.

Franco Lino to Viking, joining Aussie trio Stensness, D’Aggers and Yazbek, as well as Kiwi Joe Bell.
Pretty much the most perfect club he could have possibly joined. Will have a ton of support settling in, and at a club with a proven track record of giving game time to our lads.

Particularly if they persist with Bos in a higher role. Good for the Olyroos and hopefully senior NT at some point.
