Iredale plays at the highest level and has the longest future amongst our strikers in the squad. He'll only play against Syria if we're comfortably up and Uzbekistan at the death if we're behind.

It's frustrating we don't give the new bunch a go. I know we've got to be careful in tournaments but there's reward for the risk. Albeit a friendly, O'Neill bossed Ecuador then we had a whole new assurance.

At the same time, some players need up to 10 caps to fit in. We don't always have that much time. We've got to keep introducing the ones and actually get them on the pitch.

Tilio without a doubt.

There is absolutely no benefit rushing Nestor into a high pressure environment on a big stage at 17 years of age where he has a lot to learn. The kid is already struggling with the pressure on him at times, this only exacerbates this further.

You can definitely see the pressure on him this season - he's taking shots before he gets into a decent scoring position & trying to do too much at times, but he does have that X factor that we could've used. I think it would've been great for him to be part of the squad & used off the bench late in games and instructed to just go out there and give it a crack/ play your natural game. Goodwin would've helped him as well - he's a calming influence for him. I also think Arzani should've been there as well.

For mine the squad looks really light on for x-factor substitutions should the scenario arise of needing to chase a goal. Hope I am wrong.

Tilio better make a difference then - he’s like steven bradbury making that squad in first place with his 28 minutes in 6 months at celtic. Absolute joke selection

If chasing a game against a bus parking team with 15 minutes to go who would you rather sub on - A very rusty Tilio or regularly playing and scoring/providing assists Irankunda?!

He’s nowhere near ready and is better off staying at Adelaide for now

hoping he plays boyle alot in the early games so he can get some easy goals and more confidence, I think being his first major tourney he will be ready to rip it up and the only one in the squad in my opinion to finish the good chances.

Goals shouldn’t be a problem v India obviously. Syria and Uzbeks will be tougher. If Arnold not sure about Duke being able to score then play Fornaroli!
Silvera and Boyle need to contribute.
I know he is young and inexperienced but why the hell isn’t Irankunda there as impact sub FFS. His speed and skills are off the charts compared to rest of forwards
