+xHmm why would their be so much added media interest that those interested in attending may not find a seat? last match for Canberra perhaps? Would sound like it. From reading that media release, sounds like Capital Football is doing everything they can to find the funding to keep next season on board. Although, this bit was interesting to me - and further sums up the shit show that the ACT Government is when it comes to football: "ACT Government have offered a 50% advance payment of our existing funding agreement to assist with the upfront running costs of Canberra United." Which is a little at odds to what the ACT Sports Minister said this morning to ABC Canberra. "Yvette Berry says the ACT government has offered funding to keep the team afloat but hasn't received a response." I would hardly call an advance payment as extra funding (yes I added the word extra, because that's how it seemed to be implied), as it's money that was already going to that source anyways.
