I get your thinking but surely Leckie is too old to be experimenting in such a different position.

We really need to be identifying our key number 6 for the tougher teams coming later. I'd play Baccus there which probably means Nizz misses out for Irvine.

Can't see both Irankunda and Arzani starting either but would love to see them both on at the same time. Nizz probably has the best ball retention in the entire squad so he's a valuable option for maintaining pressure.

Always find it hard to tell if someone has a good game in these matches. You kind of expect to win every duel. I guess most people are looking out for Nestor or stama to score their first goal 

Bloggers have been commenting how Leckie played centre midfield for City at times. For god's sake he and Duke shouldn't be in the squad, let alone playing. I'd save the experiments for the Palestine game which will hopefully have more bearing as they're the type of team we struggle to break down. See how Arzani and Irankunda can crack them. Circati should start both games.

One thing arnie says is it takes a while to adjust to international football because you have limited prep with a bunch of other players who are all coached different ways and have to make them gel. It can take 20 games to get used to it and it is a different art to club football. 

It is crucial to keep a core of old heads around until our new breed rack up 20 or so games. We need friendlies to speed the process up

Is the game being broadcast on 10 or just Paramount, can't find it in the TV guide..

The Socceroos' qualifier against Bangladesh will be available to be streamed on Paramount+, but there will be no live free-to-air broadcast of the game on Channel 10 or 10Play.

Channel 10 have released information stating there will be a full replay of the match available on their TV channel and 10Play at 7 a.m. AEST on Friday morning.

As for MacDonald, I thought he was poorly done by. He also was really good off the ball and played in plenty of winning teams. He was too good to have been ignored as much as he was.

agreed, I don't think some supporters see/or understand enough from back in the day how different it was and our whole fabric.....
It wasn't as analitical even though it had its systems of the time.
There was never the kind of park the bus hold stations kind of stratergy like todays game we know but hang on and go from there.
Being Dukes was seen more the holding type of player how we used him meant we struggled dominating games, not enough in the opponents final third - sure some games we done very well but most of the times we were/are the underdog.
Watch Dukes in Clubland and he took defenders on, dribbling towards and into the box, meet cross's bang into goal, whole different outlook compared to Roo playing.
Macca the same, how can any good true forward play his natural game when your NT is pushing shit up hill.

Disgusting this isn't on TV - It's almost prime time sports viewing, but instead the 10 secondary channels are showing NCIS (to be fair, could be new episodes), and Two and a Half Men re-runs.
