Stop sooking - both the right calls.
All three are if you count Germany's disallowed goal early on off the corner too.

I love that goals are so hard to come by and take great skill in this game unless you boot the ball into the pen area and it accidentally nicks someones hand. In this case, the game has decided the player is deliberately cheating ajd deserves the ultimate punishment haha

Germany much better regardless, missed some really gettable chances

I think that was am easy and right call. Despite the easy flop by the Danish player, Kimmich impeded the defender right under the ref's nose.

The others were correct albeit incredibly tight. I've always felt if you can have half a foot to make a difference in scoring or not, then those advantages can warrant offsides and handballs too. I think some rules need simplifying to avoid such tight calls however.

I agree with the old talking heads the technology has taken the spirit of the game out. We don't need to worry about centremetres

Ange and Co post game. Fair point as why have IFAB created a vast gap between what most people would consider a handball or not?

Like any ref could ever have seen the handball there! I think the rule needs to be that rockets like that to the hand just can't be hand unless the player has obviously turned into a goalkeeper. Even then it's still murky. Players will naturally have stretched arms.

Can the technology draw some kind of radius around a player and anything wider, outstretched that blocks the ball's natural path is considered hand ball? You'd argue last night's would be deemed one as such. It was a flicker on the finger's and changed the trajectory.

I think there needs to be a cooling from broadcasters on the number of angles and verbal attention given to such scenes. They were the ones who pushed this. Shit pundits and journalists used these moments to push a matter and kept winding up managers post game and it trickled upwards through clubs and stakeholders (let's not forget all the wealthy stakeholders who then lost out on millions due to a ref mistake and their club therefore not making UCL for example) and FIFA bucked to the pressure of 'something had to be done'

Cultural change is needed like the lower divisions. Ref takes it at face value. Fewer replays and attention given to it. VAR comes in for howlers. The ref on the pitch has ultimate authority on the vast majority of minuscule moments and we just get on with it.

There no way that offside technology is that accurate and I'll tell you why. When does the ball contact the foot? At what point are we talking?  If we're looking at 1cm worth of toes why aren't we looking at 1cm of ball to foot? Is it when the boot just touches the ball initially, when it compresses the ball to the maximum or when it leaves the foot or some arbitrary moment in time between those instances?

Farking ridiculous.

I understand why it was given but that graphic is a 'best estimate' not a true representation because it's technically impossible to get a definitive moment in time when that foot was there in relation to that ball being passed. That's just physics.

And that handball call was a another fucking joke.  They're telling us in seminars, with video examples, to let that sort of thing go and then here they are deciding games on it.

Make up your fucking mind.  Either everything is automatically handball if it strikes your hand, no matter what the circumstance, or adjudicate it as we're being told.

Every weekend I'm waving away balls to hand only to have 11 players on one side and half the crowd tell me I'm blind because 'I missed it'.

I didn't fucking miss it, I'm following the laws and the guidance.

Had enough of these clowns in charge.

Hard disagree for probably the first time NCB. 'Technically correct' I'll concede, but garbage nonetheless.

Exactly what I was talking about when it comes to offside.

Here's one article.  https://theconversation.com/var-i-used-motion-capture-technology-to-show-why-the-premier-league-gets-tight-offside-decisions-wrong-189223

And here's another. Scroll down to the graphic at the bottom.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7367933/An-offside-decision-never-black-white-VAR.html

The whole thing hinges on the decision on WHEN THE BALL IS PLAYED. If they can't get that right all the fancy lines in the world mean fuck all.

No, I see your point.
Issue is with the handball thing, is that UEFA's guidance is seemingly ANY ball to hand is penalised, which yes I've had guidance that's different (but again, that's directed through the FA and AFC).

Really, there should just be FIFA guidance, and that's it.

On the weekend I had a defender clear a high ball in the box into his own raised arm. Literally an exact copy of the videos they show you that say THAT'S NOT HANDBALL. Of course everyone on the attacking side screamed HANDBALL!!!! I was ready to wave play on, because that's what we've been told right? I looked down at my watch and there was 3 seconds left. Blew for full time. Crisis averted.

The problem is of course every weekend on the TV in the top leagues they're going against what we've been told. Players aren't stupid. They see one thing and think if that's handball there it should be handball there. Can't blame them.

Bunch of cunce.

Those in charge. Not the players.
