What's the crime here?

I think flying a drone without a licence in Paris is a crime actually.

It is obviously against the 'spirit of the Olympics' to spy on what must have been a closed training session. Olympics still hold to the concept of good sportsmanship and 'amateur is best' despite the fact that there is very little in sport that is not professional now. The Olympics hold themselves up as an ideal and are not meant to be a win at all costs competition - despite that being far from the truth.

Edit: Ignore this line<To be the host nation looking to gain an advantage like that is also pretty poor publicity.>. Reigning champs not the host nation - I got mixed up.

To have stepped aside and been stood down from positions as a result shows they know they have done the wrong thing.

When I wear their colours, I am the club.

I imagine it's a very big no-no security wise during the Olympics, especially with Middle East hoo-hah and Russian hybrid provocations in Europe

Having the Opening Ceremony along the Seine is apparently the absolute worst nightmare for the Anti-Terrorist Security Mob
