+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xSo we can see domestic transfers Is that exciting is it? Game changer for the sport? I don't see the big deal with it. Not within the A-league. This latest kerfuffle with paulson is more to do with the power of $$$ and APL being a shambles of an organisation. What Frank Lowy up to these days? Third time lucky for him to come back? Frank had his time, left it to his son who screwed it up. James Johnson is your man if you want football to operate like most nations around the globe with a proper pyramid system, domestic transfer system etc and with transparency. Yes yes. Of course. JJ has the 11 point plan. It's all amazing I am aware of your dislike of Johnson but can you give me instances of his poor management to date. It's not about poor management It's about lack of action. The question is "what has HE actually DONE?" As I've said before. Talk has been fine. Action has not occurred. I have seen nothing from him that says he is different from any other CEOs running around pushing their own barrow. None of them are courageous. Lot of toeing the line. Keeping everyone happy. Using corporate buzzwords. Danny Townsend was similar. A football person that was what the game needed. But atleast JJ didn't blow $130M. EDIT: and he is a lawyer by trade and a CFG plant. So I'm a little sceptical. Happy to be proven wrong. Time will tell So impatience and scepticism along with conspiracy theories are the problems that you need to overcome before becoming enlightened.👍😀 You're not reading what I am saying. And what I've said before. I didn't say he has done a shit job. I'm waiting to see what actions are taken. I don't kneel as his feet as a messiah. There's a lot of work to do until judgement day. Jury is out. I'm still waiting foe significant improvements. But not much has changed. JJ will be judged at the end of his tenure. But may be judged sooner because of the NST. It's quite simple really. It's not hatred. Simple scepticism because I've seen it all before. Happy to be surprised and proven wrong. Mate, you gotta be kidding.... When Fox offered us 10 million he got 30 million... He has taken FA from near broke to flush with funds... he won the right to hoist a couple of tournaments .... you may have heard of them... A certain womens team struggling for media... he did a deal with Disney to make a doco .... they pulled over 14 million in one match... they are now considered Australia's fav team.... Tis said the new FA deal is a lot more than the last media deal.... Melbourne & Perth major infrastructure built.... I could go on.... but maybe sometime you could at least recognise what has been achieved.... Some people only want to see the negatives.

+x+xIt’s a good question the FA and JJ were pushing to get it in a few years ago and it’s gone quiet ever since, especially with the Paulsen news with Auckland it needs to come in more than ever. Pfa were rumoured to block it werent they? Not to sure about the details but everyone in the game needs to work together for the benefit for the sport (challenge level=hard) though.

I don’t think anyone is saying Johnson is the ‘messiah’ but he is the most competent administrator we’ve had in recent times, perhaps ever. As for significant improvements I’m not sure what you are looking for but certainly FA’s finances are very healthy, as for the NST that is being worked through. Any improvements in the way the A League is run is not on his watch.
I’m sure you will be surprised at what he has achieved in his tenure and I only hope he passes the baton to someone as capable. The only way football will reach its full potential in this country, is by getting rid of the state federations or whatever they are called. One country, one association .

+x+xWhether it's slow going or the complaints are unjust or not, Johnson is the best person for the job that we're ever going to get. I can't see anyone else with more experience, contacts, qualifications, and knowledge of Australia than JJ. Would absolutely be shooting ourselves in the foot by running him out of town like we did to Ange.Back to the OP, I think it's been mentioned that the PFA is holding up the DTS? Maybe it was just a rumour. "Run out of town"? How? By journos writing bad stories? Postecoglou was never run out of town. Criticised yes. But no more than any other national team coach gets. As if he'd really be bothered by journalists. Coaches cop it all the time. And he's not a soft cock. He left on his own terms. He decided to resign. He lined up the Japan gig. He's made his own decisions on his contracts since Brisbane. And he's done well. Oh yeah, I'm not at all saying Ange used it as an excuse to leave. I'm saying people don't know what they've got until it's gone. They don't understand when they have the best they'll ever have, running their mouth off always thinking the grass is greener elsewhere. JJ is literally trying to get things done that no one else has come close to implementing. Hundreds of vested interests, barely any of them wanting what's good for all of football in Australia. Yeah my patience is tested right now and I would be mega pissed if nothing got done in the end, but I certainly wouldn't hold it against JJ, it's Australian football after all. I really don't see the point of some people giving him a hard time, like he can flick a switch on these things and burn anyone else in the way. If anyone has got a problem, blame the system not the man.
