+x+x+xSo the media swing is well underway then. I will always give a new coach the benefit of the doubt and a chance, but I just can't but feel that the FA are not making decisions that improve us. They are making decisions that continue to keep the house in the order they want. Indeed... now we all just need to realise who "they" are :P is this the royal Lucy Zelic 'they'? this particular royal family doesn't allow ANY women to speak, let alone someone like Zelic :)

+xGiven the time constraints and the need for any coach to know players add knowledge about Asia and Australia, and needing a new coach with games days away.... Popa is among a few that would fit the bill... Vidmar another... Shows to me how important planning is ... we should have undertaken a full review after the WC... and then reviewed that decision after the AC... I wish him well but """park the bus""" sorry a low block is how he plays.... Hope he is very successful. I hope he is successful, but as you said, above, my hopes are not high.

Nice to see she has become a right wing kook on skynews.

+xSo we’ve made the past 5 World Cups, the Matildas are flying, have hosted a successful Women’s World Cup, had the Lowy reign with all his cash and networks, cash from tv rights, got rid of those evil effniks that were apparently holding back the game, created a full time professional mens comp with shiny new franchisers for the customers to enjoy……Millions upon millions have flowed in the coffers of the game yet we’ve somehow ended up with Tony Popovic as national coach. A truly shopping in the bargain bin appointment. Just stinks that the FA’s level of ambition is to basically qualify 7th or 8th from Asia and collect their cheque from FIFA when the WC comes around. Enjoy everyone. Finishing 11th in a WC was a lifetime ambition for some of these supporters who "followed the game, but not the dirty effnik clubs" for decades.... If the Socceroos can go back to back 11th that would be well worth the past 20 years of apartheid.

He identified speed of ball movement as an issue which is good to hear
It was down 20-30 percent even after taking into account the ref allowing so much time wasting
He said he is ok winning ugly, fair enough that is after all the expectations
