Something has to give, either if they start to play less games or clubs are given bigger squads so they can rotate between games.

Its getting problematic for the sport and overall will effect the quality of games for the viewer. 

If FIFA/ UEFA want to keep adding more games to the calendar, they should just cap the number of games players can play. Whether that is 40, 50 or anything else across a whole year, should be discussed with medical experts and players.

There have been suggestions of 3 week international windows but it's still awkward.

I personally felt the Conference league or Europa league should be a home and away knockout competition with over 100 clubs. It'll halve each round of course. That means fewer games and UEFA doesn't want that. 

The  Conference league has actually been a novelty for most clubs who normally wouldn't get a European spot and it's taken quite seriously. 

Bit tricky for international teams to practice before serious games.

Nations League is alright to add some seriousness to play not to mention tournament qualifying safety nets. There are still flaws like something that Germany could've lost every Nations League game and still had a Playoff slot for 2022 guaranteed but that's the allure of getting into league A. Mid level teams can really boost their chances that way. 

I prefer a fifa nations league than confederation based, like Uefa’s otherwise it makes it harder for teams to play outside of their confederation.

It’s the same organisation that have expanded the World Cup format, it’s clear they are motivated by money it’s time the players stand up to it or it’s going to get worse.
