La Liga boss Javier Tebas has told FIFA president Gianni Infantino to “scrap” next summer’s Club World Cup, He claimed the expanded tournament is not wanted by broadcasters, clubs, players or sponsors.

+xI think I'm alone, but I'm actually a fan of the new CWC and UEFA CL formats! Love the club woeld club Of it becomes biannual it would break europes monopoly on club football given the eye catching prize money Europe has pulled too far ahead the last 20 years which is threatening footballs status as the world game

+x+x+x+xHopefully it stuffs up nobody wants it Wasn't there a ridiculous of amount of money each club was getting just for just participating? Surely the majority of clubs then would want it, just not the biggest clubs who control most of football. Each club will receive €50m (AU$80m) just for qualifying. Then there are various extra payments depending on how far a club progresses through the tournament. Not much for the likes of Real Madrid and Man City, but Auckland FC has qualified and I bet that money will be life changing for them. Mate, for €50m we may as well leave the AFC and rejoin Oceania. More funding than our tv deals. Not a terrible option now that OFC has 1 direct slot (+1 play-off slot) into the WC.

That's why they're coming Auckland City FC with their 250 seat stadium are getting 50,000,000 Euros (allegedly) I believe that is thier training facility. They are playing out of Mt Smart stadium. Are you confusing Auckland City FC (the NZ champions) with Auckland FC (the new A League side)? Probably.
