+x+x+xWith the notable exception of Lupi, guys just join the new forum. It is already active. I've already posted a list of 40 odd current and past FTBL Forum posters to try and recruit. All of you are on it, minus one. Keep posting in both forums, until this one ceases to exist. Inside Sport is already active. We need posters to post all their research in the Aussie Abroad thread on Pasquali's Inside Sport Forum 2. I'm not sure where the posters source all the material? This FTBL Forum could close any day. There hasn't been much new advertising. It isn't generating money. There are costs involved running it. Anyone running a business wants to make money. I've had a fair bit of recent contact with the current site owner of Inside Sport. It doesn't augur well for the future of this forum - but he might surprise us? He hasn't done what he has implied he was going to do to keep this forum going. It might be a question of the entire Inside Sport site disappearing altogether. Why are you trying to 'recruit' members? Its not even your forum. Are you trying to build your own cadre of sycophants there? I've just sent you a PM - suggesting how to ingratiate yourself to others and how others might respond to your posts positively, Lupi. I'll return to the norm of skipping past your posts in public again, until such time they change for the better. Bye. sicko

+xCurious what's the reason why this forum doesn't / cannot have moderators? The admin with the permissions to appoint mods isn't around anymore. Some posters have contacted Inside Sport but no firm word yet on their intentions for the future of the forum or if they can/will appoint mods. Muz have you heard anything new?

+x+xI like the reference to the Green and Gold but not sure about FC. It's also worth remembering the Green and Gold Army used to have a football forum though last I looked it didn't exist. The other codes also play in green and gold so we need FC. People think round ball game when they see those two letters. *Ideally* we are as tight knit as a football club. I doubt the green and gold army forum carved out the same niche as we have. There is a sizeable community who want deeper discussions into our game. These people are spread everywhere. Unfortunately the forums are all bad. This one is probably the best one and it’s not even a football dedicated forum. I believe if it’s done right it will grow. Thanks for your intent by the way as others have mentioned. Maybe not good enough below 11v11FC.com.au 11asideFC.com.au 11FC.com.au OzfootballFC.com.au shootFC.com.au

One thing I hope to see is better image upload For example being able to screen shot formations, twitter comments, stadiums or players etc. I've seen how much a Fabrizio Romano post image can drive reaction on overseas forums. Might add a bit of colour and fun to to site. Also maybe a history section

+x+x+xI've deleted it. I am going to make a new one in the future. This one will be much better What are you going to call it. Inside Sport 2 felt like a copyright breach. I feel like it needs to be linked to Australian football somehow. Yeah I’ve just checked and it’s trademarked, I was thinking something like Pitchside AU. Need ideas Shoot!

+xGreenandgold suggests all Aussie national sports, which is fine if that's what you want. 433 isn't bad. Itoldyouso warms the heart, JW was actually my avatar on the new forum haha. For a laugh, how about Football Forum Australia, FFA 😂 "Australian Football" kinda implies Aussie Rules. But Football Australia doesn't. Something unique to us... Park the bus The second yellow The taped net 😂 Or some moves, like nutmegs, rabona etc. Can combine socceroos and matildas....mantildas? I agree with john on a poll tho if pasquale wants to use veto powers as the site designer i understand haha

I'm fine with green and gold fc. Perhaps a poll would be fairest.
Imagine if the FA created their own forum (would probably deter people being from them) yet I imagine black with a couple of historical sound bites then a white text on a black background with I told you so among other intriguing names.
People have very short attention spans and interest levels nowadays so it'd be more about interesting discussions, a continuation from what goes on here, anyway.

I hear the point about young people, but if there was a vote id go itoldyouso.com.au . Young people should learn the history, too much throwing our history out

+x+x+x+xAustralian Football Forum? It might be plain but is clear about what it is. I've been running ideas of chatgpt and if you're not specific enough it connotates to AFL a lot. Wasn't there a podcast called studs up? Studs are other sports too but the idea of people debating is that the studs are going towards you. It'd be nice to recapture the old days when hundreds were on during games. Perhaps it's less about name and more about promotion and ease of access. Some whispers on social areas should get people having a sticky beak. 442 was always a good name. The change to inside sport was vague. Alas, forum traffic is way down but club specific forums around the world appear to be very strong. Studs Up is clever. I did like Four Four Three also. What about Kewell's Left Boot. Green and Gold Brigade. I'm just spit balling. Yeah my brain keeps associating with certain players and body parts. Issue is it's then very specific That TV show The Cheap Seats, somewhat witty, even self deprecating. It's not like Inside the area or side netting make any bloody sense for a forum. I saw a sticker in stadium toilets. Something like: Land, sea or air, Australian fans go everywhere. Land Sea Air? Still way off topic. Symbolic in maybe Land for the local game, sea for future exploration and growth and air for Aussies Abroad. Some kind of ring to it where people at the pub after a game as 'are you on.....?' That last ones on to something but doesn't feel right. It reminds me of the football chant: "Aussies here, Aussies there, theres Aussies fucken everywhere!"

+x+x+xthat's pretty decent actually Just feel it's the right homage. Covers all areas of the game. Younger people may ask 'what's that even mean?' It's important they all know and Johnny's message spreads. They won't even be on the forums in the first place because they won't find it. Mainstream appeal is important unless you want a dead forum I see what you mean. At the same time all names start from nothing. A term so connected to the ethos of Australian football and by definition, something we aspire to, could add a bit of mystique about the place. Just going over the numerous podcast and twitter page names they're repetitive in theme being about down under, Roos or other typical terms. I don't mind green and gold as it's easy to identify and remember. I'm stumped for other names.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xI've deleted it. Need ideas could call it fourthreethree? Green and gold FC? This name has merit too. I’m settling on Greenandgoldfc.com.au. Thoughts? not bad nearly everyone we want in the forum is a socceroos and or matildas fan regardless of whether they are disenfranchised ethnics, a league fans, moderates etc Definitely.
I was wondering thought if greenandgoldfc.com or greenandgoldfc.com.au would be better? It’s the same thing but we will be stuck with it
This name more so relates to the Roos more than anything. The forum name should be more open specific towards the game overall imo. Socceroos/matildas is just the umbrella of what everything else is under. reddit/aleague for example contains a lot of national team talk. It won't matter. what do you think of itoldyouso.com.au? Too niche, only people 40+ will understand it or people who are really invested like us.
