I bought tickets online approx 4hrs before kickoff. I chose them I. The big stand because of the weather but there were only 6 seats free. I wonder how many were free ticket no shows and how many stayed away because of the unavailability from the weather.

Would not surprise me, I got rained on quite a bit while walking to the stadium, so there was definitely still inclement weather before kick off.

Keogh away kit ordered. Hopefully it's not a curse for a shocking season like my De Silva kit last year

Again, some of that may be negative blow-back from the misery of last season? But once word of the early results and good word-of-mouth passes, hopefully things improve there too. This could be a team worth watching, as worth watching as any Glory team we've seen for seasons! You don't live in the NW of Perth??? Being outside on Saturday arvo, you would have been killed by the hail. Similar forecast for Sunday, who would blame people. Also, the hangover from season past might have had a bearing as well. If Glory keep stringing wins together and play exciting games with 92nd minute winners, the crowds will return. Damn, my memory failing me - Wasn't the weather fine on Sunday arvo though?! :? Weather was miserable in the morning. Was still raining when I got on the train to head to the game. By the time I got to Claisebrook rain had stopped but it was still dark and overcast. First half was still quite cold in the stands, but around halftime the sun came out, and it was (relatively) warm in the 2nd half. Edited by petszk: 23/10/2014 01:36:29 PM

Usually live under a rock, so not heard any promotion of tomorrow night's match. Is anyone going, as it's feeling like a mid - week scratch match interest wise?
Will be interesting to see what King Kenny comes up with coaching wise. He'd not tried any younger guys yet, so is he now forced into throwing a few in against arguably the best team in the comp?
I read Sunday's squad had Risdon out for a week with an ankle injury, and Davies was brought in. Risdon played, and many have said he played like he should be out for a week with an ankle injury. Bit of an opportunity gone there one thinks. A fortnight ago it was reported he was saving up Zadkovich for this FFA match. Then last week it says he is out till November. Looks like the Foxe 'just 2 weeks' curse will be stuck with him.
When you're chasing you look slow, which is what we looked like against Adelaide. There are plenty more fast teams still to come. As blue collar as Kenny says his team is, there's not too much pace anywhere on the park, and not even his favourite Mitch Messi could get us going.

I desperately want to go, but my daughter is performing in a school production that night, and I can't weasel my way out of it. :?

Subs: Duncan; Clisby; Davies; Maclaren; Marinkovic The Worst has Clisby in for Thwaite. Thwaite must be rested to give his niggling injury time to come good. So Clisby starts and then Glory have O'Neill or Ferreira on the bench. I just don't see De Silva even making the bench ( ](*,) ), so Marinkovic in his place and then both O'Neill and Ferreira on the bench. Vukovic Risdon Djulbic Clisby Jamieson Griffiths Nicholls Garcia Marinkovic Hersi Keogh Subs: Duncan; O'Neill; Davies; Maclaren; Ferreira All young legs on the bench. Maclaren must be used as an impact sub late in the game, that's where things have worked for Glory. Starting him just does not work. Edited by hotrod: 29/10/2014 03:56:32 PM

Shayne Hope is a good supporter of football but I think his level of knowledge is illustrated by the fact that he picked Matt Simon as the Mariners key man in his season preview. Hope that Thwaite does play though as Clisby v Berisha scares the crap out of me. Think there is a chance that either Davies or Clisby could start at RB also as Risdon looked like he should have had a week off in the game v Adelaide. Always said that an early sale would hurt DDS's opportunities. No incentive for us to play him, unless we REALLY need him (due to injuries or he is just that good). Expect him to play very little before he heads to Italy (is it in January?).

Indeed, even when CEO Brewer and co were spruiking our having 'exciting stars like DDS', I cringed a bit, knowing the reality is we would continue to utilise him sparingly at best. The fact Glory's midfield soo strong now too, even when Brewer and others (Usually over East ](*,) ) listed DDS as one of our leading midfield stars was almost, an albeit unintended, insult to the quality of midfielders we had assembled infront - Never mind Mitch Nichols, Marinokovic, Richard Garcia etc... To suggest, like those over-East did, that he may feature is almost, moronic?! Less there some kind of injury crisis, DDS' final send off will be a very much under-stated one and still a narrative of a boy who's talent is still only limited to 'promise' and that may still, sadly, remain the case once he's at Roma, till the inevitable loan down to Serie C/D perhaps, by his early 20s - aka like Carl Valeri and co before him, IF he's lucky. Hate saying that, but that's how it's played out here. Maybe he can develop more his physique and match awareness (He'll be a developing 17/18 to 21yo or so over there), when it the highly professional top-level European surrounds of AS Roma - And under a coaching regime headed by Rudi Garcia, can't find yourself under too much better tbh! So DDS was rested on the weekend so he could play that games last night. Which I think is stirring the rumours that he's being rotated in for the big games.
