Glory fans: how do you line up for round 1 and who starts? Kenny generally isn't one to do too much tinkering, but it looks like you have gone for a 4-4-2 in a couple of pre-season games.

Garcia Fernandez Castro-Marinkovic-Sandor-Harold Golec-Thwaite------Dino-----Risdon Castro was used more centrally against WSW...so...was it? Fernandez Garcia-Castro-Marinkovic-Harold Sandor Golec---Thwaite---Dino-----Risdon I'd like to see: Castro Ferandez Harold Marinkovic Sandor Oxborrow Golec Thwaite Dino Risdon Or even... Sciola Fernandez Harold Castro Marinokvic Sandor/Oxborrow Golec- Thwaite-Dino- Risdon

Anyone have the code for the Gloryboys A-League fantasy comp through foxsports?
Or have started a league?
Cheers

Almost there again, and always a huge sense of unknown and anticipation at just how we’ll go. Consistent queries already of our squad depth. Written off already as bottom 3 finishers. So many new faces, and the media think we again will need more time to gel. Surprised all and sundry again with our FFA cup showing. Just need the weather to heat up again to the mid-30s for our afternoon kick-offs, and I’ll be thinking it may be a case of deja vu again for the second consecutive year in a row, again, twice. [actual long range forecast for next weekend is for a drizzly few days struggling to reach 20 degrees].

Perth glory on twitter said they had A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT for this morning...then announced an hour later that they have a new sponsor. Some Australian national storage company.
At least they didn't call it an Australian marquee signing.

They even tagged fox sports in the first tweet...so I thought surely it would be a player signing. Maybe there is something else on the way...don't see why fox sports would care about a new sponsor. Is Demetriou still in the picture as well? Or did he pass on Glory as well along with Gallifuoco.

So what do people think Kenny has to change for next week? Did we play better towards the end because Glory had to come out and play? Or was it a change in formation/position?
I liked the way Castro looked when he pushed out left. I think it is how we should use him, taking on players and then either cutting back for a shot or crossing it. We also need creativity in the middle of the park but think him out left would be better. Sciola actually looked good on the park as well, I forget where he played though?

I think Sidnei did enough to warrant a start next week. But it would probably be for Harold so not sure as I think Harold deserves an extended run in the starting XI.

Sidnie did well when he came on and maybe that's his best role, impact player, not unlike Andrezino (sp) Not sure we need to change too much, just get the loose passes sorted out and get the ball to Fernadez so we can see what he can do.

The biggest problem with our team is that they can only pass to the opposition or over everyones head to their goalkeeper if we are going to find out what Fernandeze is made of we have to find him when he is making his runs nobody was giving him a chance to get onto something he could work with doubt he would of been to happy yesterday with the service he got oh and the other thing we need is a friggen coach wo can change things when needed.

I think one problem with the lack of cohesion is the lack of preseason games. Like mentioned before teams like CCM played several games with a-league teams, and other eastern side teams played over seas teams. Next preseason hopefully we go back to South Africa or Indonesia/Malaysia again, and hoepfully get a team of higher pedigree than just NPL. Could make the difference at the beginning of the season. If the eastern side teams get a good 5 or so decent preseason games more thats more time for them to gel and gives them a slight advantage. We just looked unfit and disjointed.

four letter word, that's why I went burns. but for a serious guess, taggart is a good call. would have to be an australian player who is somewhat out of favour.

Are guest players outside the visa limit of 5 players?

Glory is leaning back into its 'old' nursing home ways... Covic unloaded onto us .. we still have Thwaite. Golec could definitely pass as a 40+ year old as well.Bahhh fingers crossed 3 years from now we don't sign Gallas

Are guest players outside the visa limit of 5 players? What do people think if true? Mixed feelings. Seems disruptive and short sighted. I'd rather see Fernandez improve but if he doesn't Keogh won't hurt I guess.
