I dont think the Glory will get 15k for a long time. Look at it this way. THe glory now has just over 7000 members. Are you trying to tell me that the Glory would get 100 percent of its membership again in walkins? I would find that very hard to believe (and I doubt it has happened for any Football club anywhere). I think the Club would be very happy of getting 12K to most games. Maybe slightly under for some of the teams (Im not sure Newcastle or CCM would put a 12K crowd).

People are going to come to watch Diego. I love watching his play style .. his ducking and weaving, his cutbacks and so on. Players like him draw in the football watcher.

Another thing Ive found recently is that I havnt heard about Tony Sage for some time. I dont mind that at all. For a while there SBS was running a piece once a month on him being angry and saying things. All that should now be left to Peter Filopolous and so far he has been doing a cracking job.

They announced on Monday that of the 11k nearly all 7k of the club's members were at the game. CCM is a challenge to attract fans but winning helps. Re-signing Castro before the home game v City should see the biggest crowd of the season if the weather is ok.

Anyone else think we can crack 15k for Saturday?
First time in what 4 years if we do.

Against the Mariners, no. (then again, maybe with Garcia, the good one, not the bad one).

If it was against Victory or the Roar, maybe.

If they stay on message then the game against City might get close.

If it was a big game like victory i would be predicting 17k.
But we got well over 10k with the jets of all teams on a public holiday which was great.

Weather should be brilliant. I'm hoping for a huge crowd. I've finally convinced 5 mates to come to a game. All i know is in heading to the Brisbane very early for a couch and pre game beers.

LOL.
Enjoy your 20 minutes of drinking beer and 2 hours of waiting to get served...

Haha pfft. The advantage of being a regular means drinks are brought to me lol.

Edit; wow i sound like an alcohol lol. It's only partly true. We have dinner there regularly lol.

Fair enough. I've only been there 3~4 times pre match (prefer the Ellie) and have always been pissed off by how long it takes to get a beer. IIRC, last time I was there we did get served at our table, but only as we literally were getting up saying "fuck this, lets go somewhere else to drink".

Yeah i know what your saying. We used to have problems there. Then i think they realized we are there regularly buying food and many many drinks.

Now that i say this we will get shit service on Saturday haha.

And as for Saturday attendance I'm hopeful of 15k. Over 11k on a public holiday was good. And hopefully people think another goal fest is coming.

When does socceroos camp start? Will Risdon get to play against Phoenix and only miss the Jets game?

What about this season? Probably the best team? A couple of teams fall over in the finals, the Glory could suddenly be in another grand final?

Yep!
I haven't been this excited In ages.

Lowry and Grant aren't being praised enough. Next season they'll prove to be the best CB pair the league has seen I reckon.

I was thinking before that this year could be a best chance, thinking Risdon would be leaving at season end and Castro would only be getting older.

But next season...if we can resign Castro and keep him fit with potential more signings. Things looking good.

What's going to happen to Dino? He seems like a Glory player to me but I don't think he will take te bench. Our CBs with Grant, Lowry and Dino though will be immense if we keep them all on the books. So good to see that Lowry seems to be here for the long haul too, bringing his family to Perth. WIll definitely become a crowd favourite. Butt yeaaahh. Love the pairing of Lowry and Grant.

My money is on Dino going to WSW to replace Topor.
Just a hunch, but he fits the mould.

Makes sense. Who would we use as CB depth? Williams/Ferreira? Will see by the end of the season. Lowry might be pushed left if Kenny loses faith in Williams/Warren.

Like mentioned before Warren has improved. He's got a couple of assists from memory but his distribution and crossing still lets him down, has butchered many crosses and lacks the confidence to take his man on. Seems to cut in or cross too early a lot of the time.

Vadocz, grant & lowry have got to be some of the best mid season signings by any club in quite a few seasons.

Grant and lowry are immense and so incredibly quick when needed.

But I'll give massive credit to warren as well.

He had ferreira, garcia and got parts Austin in his pockets last night. I'm thinking next year if he keeps going he could cement the LB spot permanently.

With regard to warrens crossing we had been spoilt with jamo, one of if not the best crosser in the league for me. I think warren could improve with a decent off season.

Another bonus for glory is that we have jumped off the bottom of average attendance.

Above ccm & phoenix. And slowly catching jets.

I for one think it's lovely that someone still holds a candle for NQF and GCU, pencilling them in at the bottom of the league table with no games played as if they were still with us today.

First world problems for glory fans now that we are in the top half, or near the top half?, or above the bottom half, or near the top of the bottom of the table & near the bottom of the top half of the table.

Things are looking up, possibly down or maybe in the same position.

Didn't they get re-branded as Bye sometime around season 3? I seem to recall their results picking up.
