WGMG: People (mainly women) who blame being horrible, solipsistic, hedonistic and manipulative on 'mental health issues'. Bitch, just because you ate too many pingas to try and replace daddy and wound up in a sex tape with a poser punkboi with a shoddy reputation, doesn't mean you have 'poor mental health'; you're probably a dumb-ass with character issues.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

WGMG: Gastro (or suspected gastro i should say)... on a day that i cannot possibly take off, most workplaces would just accept it and say have the day off to protect everyone else but i work by myself.  Driving. Its not full on but it's pretty fucking uncomfortable.

Nothing more than an oversized vehicle for suburban moms and their meathead neanderthal tradie husbands to bully other road uses with. Plus you can't see past the damn things as it obscures your view ahead/to the side.

Should require a special licence to drive one plus some sort of high carbon emission tax for each one sold.

I remember when they used to be called Mosman Tractors before every man & his dog had one.

Off to hawaii next week,  everything sorted, then today my urologist calls to say i need to have surgery to remove a kidney stone from 4 months ago that hasnt passed (I've had no issues since).
They said surgery would be in a month and so now i need to alter the travel insurance but my current insurer won't and no one else will cover someone awaiting surgery! Fuck it!

Wgmg: getting blamed for things at work that I had no knowledge  of . Eg coworkers got a parking ticket for the truck . Boss blames me  until I said I'll cop it but I was on a cruise ship so unless I flew back from vanautu and drove the truck for a day and flew back then I cant see how it's possible. Or the new one getting blamed for a cabinet filler being damaged until the installation manager spoke up and said how is it mvfcarsenal's fault when we can clearly see the damage is from a bloody router as its gouged

WGMG: Flight to Honolulu was cancelled, we knew 3 days before jetstar told us as friend is a pilot for them and told us there was no roster for the flight so it was unlikely to go ahead.

They transferred us from a 10 hour flight from Melbourne to a flight to Sydney then a 6 hour wait and then a qantas flight to honolulu.

No one can tell us if we will get the full qantas service (meals, entertainment) rather than nothing like on jetstar. Though the extra leg room im ok with. But will be a challenge with a 1 year old, flying and transferring for 20 hours.

Im keen to get going though.

WGMG: At a game today and the referee constantly pulled up foul throws for the thrower having part of his foot over the sideline (not the whole foot), and trying to have a big 10 minute chat with the sides before the games so that they understood all the rules and signals and terminology.

This is NPL2 by the way.

Ridiculous.  Not even a rule.  Foot on the line is fine. Both feet on the line is fine.

Tell him to open his rule book.

As for chats better to keep those to a minute or 2 max.

Yeah, exchange went something like this on the last one:

Referee: (Blows whistle) Foul throw.
Me: What was wrong with that?
Referee: Foot violation. His feet were over the line.
Me: His foot was on the line, that's what's allowed.
Referee: His toes were over the line, that's a foul throw.
Me: So if the ball touches the goal line, is it a goal?
Referee: (silence) [still awards foul throw]

He was very lucky after that last exchange that everyone kept their distance on throw-ins, because my god he wouldn't have heard the end of it from me.
____
As for the pre-game chats.. I exaggerated a bit. Kinda.
I wasn't at my club's previous game the weekend earlier, and apparently he came over to the team warming up 15 minutes before the game to do the standard "let me check your studs, shinpads, etc" chat. And turned it into a ten minute chat about rules and what not that I mentioned.

Came up to have his pre-game chat this week, and the coach waved him off saying "Nope, warming up, sorry"

If he's only been at your work for two weeks, and he's already had a fall out with you, then don't you think you could be the one that's hard to work with?
Normally a new worker keeps all emotions in until they're comfortable enough to talk, but considering he has already spoken out against you, I think maybe you should have a think about it.

Yeh I know he's your offsider but what's that got to do with him opening up about disliking you?
And 2 weeks is more than enough time for someone to tell him about you behind your back, this shit happens alot at any work place.
Going 9 years back when I started at the place I currently work at it was within a week I had people asking me how the guy training me was to work with, and being new I only said nice things to which they laughed and basically told me not to trust him.
People back stab each other so often in the work force there is nothing unusual about that especially when done behind sometimes back. But with your offsider you said he basically said it to your face that he doesn't like working with you and neither do the others.
To do that in two weeks in all honesty isn't so common.

Far out.

https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-life/news-life/abortion-bill-passed-in-ohio-makes-no-exceptions-for-women-and-girls-who-fall-pregnant-from-rape/news-story/dca3ceb795fe46c25938b05c59e9eb29

In Ohio, women and girls who fall pregnant from rape will be forced to carry their attacker’s child to term if they don’t have an abortion within five or six weeks.

The “foetal heartbeat” bill, which last month passed in the Ohio state senate but could still be blocked by a federal judge, would make abortion illegal once a heartbeat can be detected — usually when a woman is five or six weeks pregnant.

The Human Rights Protection Act, known as SB 23 makes an exception if carrying the child to term puts the woman’s life at risk, but no exception for women or girls who have become pregnant due to rape or incest, and regardless of age.

That means a girl as young as 10 or 11 would be forced to give birth to her attacker’s child if the pregnancy is not terminated before a heartbeat is detected.

Many women do not begin experiencing symptoms of pregnancy until after six weeks.

Are people seriously that stupid that to think they wouldn't go for a check up after being raped, knowing very well this law exists?
You can still get an abortion so long as it's done before 6 weeks. If after 6 weeks you're that fucking dumb that you can't understand what to do, then you shouldn't be given the green light to kill your own baby.
I can't understand how anyone supports abortion once there is a heartbeat.
At what point do people need to be responsible and make their decision in a certain time frame?

Good move Alabama! Good to see some sanity.

Sweet home Alabama!

BTW, the Guardian is full of shit about the incest and rape. Both those scenarios pose very serious risks to the 'mother' - in terms of serious disabilities to the child and psychological trauma and despair to the point of suicide.
