Brilliant.  Good thing in Australia the government crackdown has actually made the payday loan companies clean up their act to an extent

Yeah thought after he broke back in the 4th he'd have taken that to the 5th set.

Yeah thought after he broke back in the 4th he'd have taken that to the 5th set.

Yeah disappointing.

So many unforced errors and those soft returns cost him, when he should have just been blasting it back into the ground and send it sailing 5m over Nadal's head.

In those kinds of games he needed to be ruthless, much like the Top 5 generally are. Low percentage high risk plays are just silly, especially when he was out serving Nadal all night in regards to his Aces.

Just disappointing.

Did a load of washing earlier, beautiful summers' day topping out around 28 or 29, hung my gear on the line and should've been dry quick smart. Go to the shops, come out and a big storm comes through, back home now and pissing down outside as we speak!

Got a friend who:

- Supports LFC

- Supports the Roosters
- Is in the best shape of his life and lifts nearly every day
- Has an LTR with a chick who is probably the most stable girl he's been with. And me met her on Tinder.

My mother in law rang my wife in a panic . She went thru the Bosnian war and it reminded her of it. She doesn't need this bullshit.  The scare campaign doesn't help anyone besides the media and the government

Yeah, there are some people like that.

Mother in Law rang up my wife in a panic on a Thursday (while the bushfires were happening around Canberra's outskirts). ACT put out an emergency warning on that Thursday, for the upcoming Saturday, basically saying, "Hey, it's going to be really hot. IF a fire starts, be prepared to evacuate. There's no fires yet, but IF."
Mother in law lives in one of the central suburbs of Canberra, away from the major bush areas on the outskirts, and (as mentioned above) rang my wife late on Thursday night in a panic saying they need to evacuate, they have no car, what about the dogs, etc etc. Kept saying they were "in between 2 fires" the following week, when there was the one in Queanbeyan, and the one south of Canberra: one was 30km away, the other 50km away, with basically the whole city of concrete in between

I probably should keep in mind, wife's parents house was probably about a couple streets away from being destroyed in the 2003 fires here, so their caution probably does make a bit of sense, just.. she jumps to conclusions a lot

Its understandable she's this way given her past and i can cop that. Not so much the middle aged people that have emptied the shelves through greed. It only takes a few then everyone else thinks "if i don't get it ill miss out".

My wife drove all around the bellarine peninsula tonight looking for nappies because the supermarkets near our home and her work didn't have any. We don't want 3 months worth just the usual pack for a week or so.

On top of this an interesting story she told me a month ago,  was that the supplier of the face masks they have for her work (she works in dental) told them they need to use masks for multiple patients,  which is a. Not possible and b. Is against health regulations. After discussions with the supplier they were told they would be shifting a large quantity of their bulk supply to single supply... CLEARLY because they can charge more to sell them individually.

WGMG: in-laws returned from a cruise of the three south Pacific and NZ. The dickhead partner of one of the was apparently incredibly sick with flu like symptoms. The returned were not tested and he's passed it on to the rest of the in-laws.
They weren't screened or anything when they got back.
2 of them went back to work in a large restaurant in the area (why even work with the flu) and only went to the doctors today (3 days later) where they had to have the covid-19 test.
Meanwhile the dickhead partner won't go to the doctors and has been traveling all around town shopping and whatnot.

Im not one for jumping at shadows with this thing and Sure they may not have it... but don't be a dick.

Hopefully they don't have it, because that's just negligent.

I'm getting a bit sick of hearing stories of people like the 2 in Tassie who one of them apparently decided to do a big shopping on their way home to self isolate, and one decided to go work at a hotel while waiting for their test to come back (which ended up coming back positive).
Or the old guy in Japan who decided he wanted to go to bars around Hokkaido, specifically to go and get other people infected.

Yeah it's a shit situation but imagine for a minute you're a casual worker with no sick pay and rent is due and the cupboard is bare.  I'm not saying it's right but it's understandable.

In any case it's spreading so far and wide pretty soon they'll remove all restrictions on movement and forget about isolation when it's easier to get than not get.

This is where the Government needs to give people a cash bailout (e.g. $1000 when under self quarantine for 2 weeks) so they can pay for food at the very least.

Im a casual worker and there's no way id go to work if i thought id have it.

Looking at the in-laws, if they have it and they went to work,  there's a good chance that their restaurant is going to have to shut for a period if time,  then after the all clear there will be this stigma about the place cause everyone will know why it shut. It's such a selfish thing.

But as you stated,  there will be a tipping point,  hopefully not for a while yet where everything will just go back to normal, having said that the scaremongering about how fast its moving,  i really thought it would be a hell of alot worse than it is right now.

Im still planning to go to Bali in may,  though i will keep a close eye on it.

I’d avoid Indonesia... I don’t think they have the capacity to report and manage the real numbers.

I have no idea what to do. I'm freelance in Germany and it's all quite precarious here. My cost of living won't stop and my income has already slowed. My places of work haven't closed yet but I think it'll come. I could just bunker down here but even then the Bundesliga is off and how soon will my language students feel it's safe to return to the classroom?

On the other hand the frustration of it all makes me to book and fairly priced Etihad flight home for a visit but that's only going to increase my costs. I've considered the UK or NYC for a visit but places may just all be ghost towns anyway. I guess getting out for free outdoors is the best way to combat it all.

Yeah ive heard all this. I distrust the indo government as much as the next guy, but until the Australian government starts telling us returning tourists from Bali have covid-19 then I'll start re-evaluating.
I know it's a whole different kettle of fish but they said Indonesia would be harder hit than China by the sars virus and it never happened. It will definitely be worse obviously for this situation but i will still wait and right now if i was going tomorrow, my bags would be packed.

Fair enough. Just take care with the usual precautions then.

Well I'm glad I didn't book any trip to America or elsewhere. Germany certainly shutting down now. Big firms here have cancelled an external visits to their offices and will probably send all workers home soon.
