lol, unexpected conversation following my post... Its incredible how wrong you are afro, I mean watch any game and you'd see its about the position the player receiving the ball is when its played, not when its received. Any other idea isn't true. No grey area. That's how it is.

Besides, that's NOT how this play went and was for a through ball deep into their half. When I pointed it out, I got carded, but they also moved the ball back. It made no sense. One of the dumbest cards I've seen given let alone received. The "ref" then carded two other players for back chat following my card.

In an ordinairty circumstance this would be true. But because the player has the right to return to an onside position following a player it's possible that he doesn't commit the foul until he reaches the ball in his own half, having come from said offside position. Though from that circumstance the ball should be taken from the last defender rather than inside the half where the player has touched the ball. The player is offside when the ball is played, but being allowed to return to onside, they still touch the ball thus taking them offside. It's a circumstance where generally you'll see the player let the ball go through to the next attacking player and play continues because no foul has been committed, but should they touch the ball they're then infringing on play and a foul has been committed.

It's hard to articulate over the internet, but it's possible.

You have two people who have done the refs course telling you you are wrong yet you insist you are right.

See the Napoli v Sampdoria game for an example of what I'm talking about. The keeper plays the ball clear from the defensive half[, a playerffside position just over the half-way line to recieve the ball, touching the ball is the point wher ehe fouls, since the ball could have been recieved by a second player who was onside at the time of the pass and the offside player was returning to an onside position, thus not interfering with the play.

A player who's offside is allowed to return to an onside position without infirnging, but if they touch the ball in the process they're deemed to have interfered with the play and to have committed the foul.

WGMG: Cityrail replacement buses. The bus to uni in the morning left ten minutes early and the stupid man in charge of the buses at Waterfall couldn't understand why he had about 25 angry people yelling at him. This afternoon I had to wait two and a half hours for a bus back from uni because there was about 250 people trying to get onto 2 buses that came from Wollongong 3/4 full every hour.
WGMG: The lab I had today. It was 3 hours of watching a man operate a computer controlled lathe and mill. He selected the g-code for the workpieces and we had to watch each machine for an hour and a half. We had to record chip sizes for our assignment but it was a waste of time, we should have just been given the information as part of the assignment.

WGMG: House stream taking for fucking ever to download.
