Quote:bars, clubs yes... work is the same as school, places where youre held against your will? If you're working in retail or hospitality that's not the case, dealing with the public. Or even working a job that you enjoy or working in a company with a large number of employees where you meet at least one person who likes the same stuff as you.

There has to be a degree of similarity in order for people to choose the same career path. Edited by thewestisland: 11/2/2011 06:55:48 PM

WGMG: The new batch of year 7's. I swear they get more annoying by the year. I know everyone thinks this, but our grade was never that bad. None of us ever abused the older kids or pranced around like we owned the school. And if any of us did do that, it was only a small group, not half the year.

I think I've been hearing exactly the above post repeated every year for the last 10 years.

Today this group of year 7's were picking on this year 8 boy for no reason that I could tell. It seemed to be between one year 7 and 8 kid though. Some of my group started ripping into the year 7 cos he's a fat douche.

You guys are submitting to the accepted 'social structure' in high schools that expect year 7 to respect year 8 to repsect year 9 etc. But for all you know the kids have known each other outside of school for years. Collectively, every year, people complain about year 7's. My sister has been doing it for years. Fortunately I went to highschool with a divided campus.

Year 7 and 8 are both the same to me. I was more referring to the fact that year 7's are the biggest pussies that they will only pick on someone if they are in a very big group. Picking on people is so fucking immature anyway, if you don't like someone why do you HAVE to let them know it and pick on them. That is what shits me most about year 7's and 8's.

WGMG: Facebook deleting my status posts. Just wrote two and when I change page they dissapear
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

That's the same mentality of kids regardless. It's not just year 7's, children as a whole hae a pack mentality. Some kids grow out of it, some don't.

WGMG: The ref in the w-league final. Apparently your allowed to hold your arms out to stop the striker getting past you. Apparently getting around the defender only to have your legs swiped from beneath you by the defender is no longer enough to win a penalty.

Watched the game this arvo and it was so frustrating due to the ref's incompetence. Was shocking for both sides, though.

WGMG: Opening up the Sun Herald flicking past the 10 or so pages of largely pointless Rugby League and cricket dribble to find that all there is about the a-league is a picture of Aloisi and Skoko with a small caption below saying they had retired and the results of both games last night.

WGMG: watching sports on the nightly news and seeing reports on AFL teams training for practice games, then more reports about AFL teams and practice games, followed by even more reports about AFL practice games then horse racing and 15 secs on Adelaide vs MV. Our media is so farcically biased, not just to football but to everything that doesnt involved AFL.
