WGMG: Major accident with a truck jack-knifing and catching fire on the GC today. Closed the motorway both directions. Took me 90 minutes for a 10 minute trip.

WGMG: I've been drafted to help organise a surprise birthday party for a good friend, and just found out the prescribed date for said party.
It's the night of the fucking derby.
Help. Is it rude to go to the football and arrive late to the party? I asked another mate for his thoughts and he reckons I'd look like a "massive cunt" (his words) - although he isn't a football fan. I reckon the girl whose birthday it is is the kind of person who might be pissed about it, but if she's drunk enough by the time I arrive I'm probably safe. I think I'd feel like a dick for it regardless.
What do I do?

Edited by cityslicker10: 2/2/2016 09:10:18 AM Good lord I miss house parties. I have a 21st house party this weekend, but it's in a small battle axe house... Upto 100 people expected lol

Wgmg: finding out reason why i cant get the net is due to the cabling wasnt done by the builder. So looks like i have to either get them to pay for it as its part of the contract or i have to shell out for the trenching team and the cabling team

I really like rap and hiphop, maybe I am losing touch with it though because King Kunta was horrible. Its not a totally bad song but it is not great, not enough to come second. I knew it would be high up the charts with the amount of airplay JJJ gave it coupled with them hyping up the song and artist at every opportunity. While the Rubens are not my choice for #1, I am pleased that a decent tune with heaps and heaps less hype kept Kendrick out of that #1 spot. I like the whole article becames I'm sure it was written by someone my age or older who has given up on "young people's" music but the King Kunta song description sums my thoughts perfectly :) Quote:Sometimes the older generation can’t dig the new trip or remain hip to the latest groove, but if this is second only to the bee’s knees at No 1 then I am flummoxed, because it sounds like a million other things I’ve seen and heard before. The Oedipal conjunctive, and some gangsta malarkey. Girls shakin’ their booties and homies gettin’ down. I guess rap causes me to suffer cognitive dissonance. I bet for someone who understands it this is the last word in cool. http://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/jan/27/steve-kilbey-i-listened-to-triple-js-hottest-100-so-you-dont-have-to Edited by mcjules: 28/1/2016 04:40:42 PM

I anm truly special in so many ways. What made you think that was a good idea in the first place? Get a big dropper tool, warm water and flush. Works really well. Otherwise if you have earwax issues get it flush by a doctor every 6 months. Not only is the process really relaxing... you can hear so awesomely after!
