Just imagine that I know what I'm talking about.
Just imagine that I am an expert in my field.
Want a good tip about coaching kids?
Everything at training should involve a soccer ball, even fitness, and have the ability, as a coach, to teach them how to improve their individual skills, not how to be a team player. That comes later.
See you next time =;

Saying use a ball all the time and teach then indervidual skills, any donkey can do that. The trick is getting the kids to respect eachother and work together to make the next step. there I challenge ye.

dont wana sound like fozzie but if we can teach the kids how to hone in on their skills as well as learning and interacting with each other on the pitch regardless of results will be best. I feel that at a very young age kids must not just play to win but play attractive football. I also believe that when kids play outdoor they sould be playing on a smaller pitch with a lot less players. Even in training this is needed so that kids who dont have the skills of the others can have more time on the ball and hone in on theyre skills

Kids must learn to play attractive football, and then learn to keep playing the same football reguardless of if they are winning or losing. There is another part of the problem.
The pitch size that they are playingon, doesn't really matter, they're only playing for 90 minutes (if that) on it, and you teach them to use certasin areas of the pitch. but for any kids under the age of twelve, i'm open to the idea.

ye i think under 12s sould be playing on smaller pitches with around 6/8 player, players will have more time on the ball ala futsal. results shouldnt really come into it untill maybe under 14s

I disagreea bout results coming into it, they need to learn how to lose. They need to learn taht it doesn't matter to be losing and you can still turn it around even if you are, the score is important, but not for the same reasons it is now.

ok make it come in when theyre 16 then, the feeling i got when my team won melbourne u16As was unbelievable haha. They will be starting to participate in tournaments in asia at around u17 level so they have to know how to fight for results. But yea we both agree that technique and not winning is the main thing, but try to tell that to some of these parents out there... theyre frigin losers and are destroying theyre sons football career withought them knowing it

They're impervious to their own ignorance.
The kids have to learn how to lose, and so do the parents, I always emphasize that. Getting the job done is the number one priority (ie. to score,and win), if you cant...go out in style.

I've got a tip! Get to know your players. Find their weaknesses and help them improve.

Also I think if you put in the effort of a great training session you will become a better coach.
