I have a bird chuckles. It just so happens taht when I'm at home after work and before I go out that I go on FFT. I prefer it than watching the idiot box like the rest of society.
Do you not get tired of the same old taunts? And at least I'm not pretending to be Crystal Palace's worst ever player on a forum.

Andy Jacko

Thanks for the reply giving the reasons for you not continuing with state league coverage Big Fella!!

Although I have to say its a shame you poms dont rate our state leagues!!

As for websites comparison yours('straya 442) although not quite as technically world clarrsshh as The World Game is much much better than soccer internationals feeble offering..

Oh BTW your podcast aint too bad either especially ginger's musings...

I listen to it more or less every week well done big fella...:-k

Hi Fozzie

I'll answer your question as it was my decision to introduce it and my decision to not continue with it this season.

We trialled it for a season and I'm glad you agree the content was first clarsh....we hoped we might find some additional readers who enjoyed seeing the second tier of the game presented in the manner we produce our content....unfortunately on the key parameters on which we judge the success of our content - copy sales and ad revenue - we didn't see an uplift in either and we have to balance providing the breadth of content across the mag and this site with being a business.

It's not really a fair comparison to compare the state leagues of Australia with 3 fully professional leagues in England. The Championship, League One and League Two had 27 clubs who this season had better crowd averages than the A-League average and I would say all 72 teams average more than all bar a couple of Australian state league teams.

We still offer fans of the state leagues regular coverage on this web site for free.

Maybe you'd like to offer a comparison of our two web sites - head to www.soccerinternational.com.au and then come back and tell us how we rate.

Cheers

Andy

Well if you didn't want people to give their opinion, why did you ask a question on a forum medium champ? You can be a smart arse about it and look like a douche. It's really not that difficult to work out that the magazine content is dictated by demand and there's little demand for grass roots news for some far-flung suburb across the country for most people.

Go Trumpet your 'special' comments about this latest triumph of "Spanish" football and "passing it on the ground" #-o  Oh yes, I went there...

To be honest Afroman the 'legend' I wasn't really asking your opinion...

I thought maybe one of the editorial staff would have got back to me on this one??

I mean I'm not asking for the 'editor-in-chief' or anything just one of the lackeys err I mean editorial asistants....

Now its no often I pay complements but last winter football season 'Straya 442 magazine had some very good coverage of football at the state league level in their planet football section....

This season its gone back to the old pay the grassroots half a page of lip service routine!!

English 442 has plenty of coverage of their lower leagues so when can we some in our version???
