An enraged Manchester United fan killed four people when he drove his minibus into a crowd of Barcelona supporters after his team’s Champions League defeat. Police said the Red Devils fan was so annoyed when he drove passed the jubilant Barcelona fans that he made a U-turn and ploughed into them. The police spokeswoman said 10 people were injured and the driver was arrested. "The driver had passed the crowd then made a U-turn and ran into them," she added. The incident happened in the Nigerian town of Ogbo where both Champions League finalists have large fan bases. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2009/05/28/barcelona-fans-killed-by-angry-manchester-united-supporter-driving-minibus-into-them-after-champions-league-final-115875-21395964/

this is a very sad thing to happen. in africa, football is their life, they have nothing else to live for and all they ever do is football, but unfortunately they dont have the education or correct ethical teaching that should go with being a football supporter.

He should have been more pissed at his own team for being totally outplayed for 90 minutes.
Still shocking news to say the least.

I heard on the news that there were riots in Barcelona as well overnight, does anyone know how bad they were? They were quite bad. I was watching the Spanish news from Spain on SBS yesterday and they showed a bit of the riots. They are the really extreme Barca fans who just want to go out and wreck things. Instead of celebrating their clubs victory they go out and break shop windows and start riots. It's absolutely disgraceful. [-(

Dont compare him to us this guy is obviously a complete and utter physco but to say we are all sore losers is a bit rich. Were the Barca rioters sore winners, the Rangers murderer's like wise? No they are lunatics and criminals who take things way too far, it is a blight on the game in general but honestly how dare you generalize that statement

Calm down son. Horrible news. A blight on world football.
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Quote:so are all liverpool supporters murderers??? remember heysall??? Remember what? That was completely fucking different. If you want to open that can of worms I can tear you a new one or you can just shut up now. It's a disappointing end to a great match. Don't asssume that you know the circumstances or exactly what motivated him to attack barcelona fans in the first place either. He may not have been entirely sane, I mean after all - he was a Man U fan. But I do have to say, it's disappointing to see yet another Man U fan involved in post-game violence. Is there something in the water?

Dont start this shit, the fans dont represent the club and every one knows that Liverpool is the city that is the skid mark on England's underpants. The Red Army members that get arrested do not represent the other fans nor do the crims from Liverpool. How bout we stop this line of thinking

Is there something in the water? yeah exactly. your response is what im trying to prove. you were offended by my remark because its a impact on your club, which you were not involved in. exactly with the same in relation to the comment that i quoted. saying that this represents all man utd supporters is exactly as me saying heysall represents all liverpool supporters. its the same whether you like it or not. and in relation to me shutting up now, i hope you feel really big. Dont start this shit, the fans dont represent the club and every one knows that Liverpool is the city that is the skid mark on England's underpants... I said it was disappointing. It taints the reputation of the club and the fans. I'm not making any generalisations, I haven't said it was "typical" of the club (as random hero would). But there have been many cases reported recently of violence where United fans have been involved one way or another. Quote:its the same whether you like it or not. and in relation to me shutting up now, i hope you feel really big. It's not even remotely close to the same. Not even in the same district. This case was some enraged and potentially certifiably insane man U fan crashing his bus in a deliberate action against some innocent fans on the side of the street. And you're genuinely trying to compare this to a freak stadium collapse that, though being the result of two feuding parties it was not their direct actions taht resulted in the disaster and you seem to be indicating that Liverpool fans were the 'bad guys' in the whole drama despite the fact that Juventus fans rioted for several hours attacking polics and Liverpool fans after emergency crews arrived. So unless the Barcelona fans were firing rocks at the van the Man U fan was driving, causing him to crash into a telegraph pole wich fell on them and crushed them, the two events are VERY different.
