If they could organise short telephone interviews, would definitely be awesome. Then we wouldn't have to put up with the same old boring questions Slater has for them post-game. Though, depends when they do the recording. If they do it on a Monday, I'd imagine the questions would be about the previous match, yet if they record on Thursday nights, the questions would be more about the up coming match. Total Football had this problem: I think everyone prefers questions about matches already played than matches yet to be played.

On that note, NEVER get Robbie Slater on the podcast, please. :)

Just something guys that you might want to consider,

Over here in Perth there is a radio show called "Lets talk football" (you can check it out at www.letstalkfootball.org) which focuses on Perth Glory and the Football West State League. Every week they interview the winning coaches for the week. Maybe the audience might like that on a national scale with the A-League coaches. :)

Thanks for the rare praise Foz!

Yes it was me that said Adrian Leijer would be better playing a full season in the Championship next year as opposed to Fulham's reserves and a loan spell to a relegated Championship club and I stand by that. Let's not forget some of our first choice players like Cahill and Neil served their apprenticeships in that league and I think it would do him good to deal with a league that physical at this age. Not saying he should stay there...far from it...but at 22/23 it's important to be playing competitive football regularly...and if the Championship was good enough for Cahill at that age...I'd say it would be good enough for Leijer. It's where ended up last season anyway.

I think it goes to demonstrate your intelligence that you can't tell the difference between some 21,000 and 8,000,000. Don't you get tired of using the same boring old taunts? How boring and bleak your life must be.

Actually, he had a point, it's a physical league and they're going to have to learn to handle that physicality and quick positioning in a box-to-box environment.

The podcast would be better if it encompassed the opinions of a more broad base of people rather than just those from sydney.

Okay so I get accused by some of the straya 442 forum hierarchy (like 8 million posterboy afroman GT and co) of being a whinger and only coming on this forum to whinge about the straya 442 magazine or website yeah??

So to give credit where credit is due I'm gonna talk about the weekly 'straya 442 football podcast which I reckon is very good, although I do have one or two reservations about the way in which some of the presenters paint a picture of Australians playing in England....

For instance one of you guys(it might have been you big fella)said playing for a team in the Championship could be beneficial to a young 'strayan centre halfs career which is I'm afraid 100% utter nonsense....

Playing in a non technical football environment like Englands Championship is not benificial to anybodies football career, its just not technically or tactically world clarssh enough is it??

Its all hoof, hoof, hoof and run so really I think its the 442 editorial teams professional duty to be a little more technocratic in the tactical analysis and say that Australian players should be aiming to play in more technically and tactically world clarrsshh leagues like Holland,France,Spain,Italy or Brazil??

Not rhe Championship which is a very very poor learning curve if we Australia want to win the World Cup rather than just go there like your Englands and make up the numbers....

Plus theres not enough about the greatest football club ever FC Barcelona you really need to be spending more time talking about such a fine football club and their technical culture and how we in Australia should be going about producing the next Messi,Xavi,Iniesta and Busquet in the A League??

'part from that good job!!

6/10
