Mr wrote:And also better quality of attack for him to defend against. He'll learn more in one SLL season than three in the EPL. you seriously think so....there are like only 4 good attacks in la liga and athletico has one of them epl has about 8 tough attacks to deal with.

Forestman wrote:I'll believe it when he signs. If it was such a good move why didn't he take it in the first place? why are the negotiations taking so long? As stated in a comment above the language barrier may be something he still is taking into consideration, also the fact that he has to relocate is something which takes time to think about

occyron, if you knew anything about what your on about then you would know atletico have no right back in the entire team. they only have centrebacks and leftbacks. they sold their only rightback to everton. neill will walk into the rb position by divine right - thats how much they need a rightback

People in the media, are calling him greedy. But Atletico piss on West ham or scumderland (sorry to say). Regardless of any money involved. Its a great move to a big club and CL football.
Good for you Lucas. TAKE IT. No reason not to.
1. Better wage (After tax) 2. Bigger club 3. CL football 4. Better weather

If it's true, it's as good a team as he'll ever get (and a bloody good team.)
From a socceroos POV, one of their strengths is they have players playing different styles in different leagues all over the world...except la liga.
"With the new tax rate of 50 per cent for Britain's high income earners set to be implemented next April"
OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! Gordon Brown is a dead man walking.
"Atletico's offer of around £1.5million-a-year to the 31-year-old is less than what West Ham offered, but Neill will pocket more in Spain due to the country's lower tax rates."
this whole saga has his agent walking a fine line between pure genius and getting the sack.
"That's been the hardest one because of the language barrier. It's a change of what I've been used to.
"A decision will take a lot of courage so that's why I've taken my time."
love ya as a player Luke, but you "sir" are a bogan!!!!

Greedy, lazy, disloyal. No more to say. Good riddance.
Spoken as a West Ham fan of course. Love him for Australia.

What a greedy bastard! :p Good move though, if it does go through. I just hope for his sake that he isn't going to be a benchwarmer for his time over at Atletico...
