Just got off the phone with a mate of mine who works in Gold Coast United. He said he heard word going around that a Smeltz pre-contract has been put forward, and that a club from overseas already are close to having signature for a transfer at the end of the season. Apparently the deal has been proposed pretty quickly because of the buy out clause at $300,000, and the unnamed club didn´t want to wait until a new United contract became a possibility. Smeltz apparently asked the contract to commence from the end of this season.

My mate says the club is an Arab club.

i honestly think he would do well at a bundesliga club, as long as the midfielders give him good service. everyone has seen wat culina and porter have done for him, even pantelidis's ball on sunday was inch perfect
