Alot of Melbourne fans piss me off too, they are the ultimate pessimists and give fickle a new definition but lets not generalize we aren't all like that. I supported the potential in Kruse even when he was fucking appalling for us so I may be blinded but I honestly think he is worthy of a bit of praise. Those blokes calling him best in the league were way off though, form player maybe but lets be honest he isn't even the best in the team let alone the league, on form Archie and Carlos are still miles ahead.

I've always been a supporter of his potential, but I don't think he's improved anywhere near as much as people like to think that he has.

Yeah, I definitely don't have anything against Kruse, I don't think he's a crap player by any means, he's actually not bad, but comparing him to the likes of Hernandez, Fowler, Archie e.t.c. is what really pisses me off. Reason it does is because it's just plain ignorance and bias by the select amount of Victory fans who say this.

And the reason they rave about him all of a sudden? Because he created the play that led to the winning goal, he didn't even play that well other then that, it was just that moment of brilliance, kind of like Nick Ward.

Except Nick Ward would produce the odd moment of brilliance as well and they still paid him out for it. They're both hypocritical, with double standards, and just bloody ignorant.

Moreover, if he was playing at another club, they'd be bagging him out like no tomorrow.

They'd be calling him a 'pussy', insults much worse, and would probably bag him EVEN more then they do Ward. Kruse is more of a target with his supposed persona.

Even Nix fans are quick to point out that Ward is crap, even if he does produce a flash of brilliance.

Kruse is one a flash of 'brilliance' type player. The A-league seems to specialise in this type of player, useless for 89minutes of every match but can come up with an assist or a goal from seemingly nothing. As long as they dont do anything completely stupid for those 89 minutes then they can be pretty effective.

If you look at MVs attacking half theyre basically all this type of player. Put em all in one side and you'll have very good days and very bad days. This is basically Merricks ideology. Luck up front, minimise errors at the back = profit???

Hernandez is useless when melbourne dont have the ball. Hes one of the few that arent useless when they do have the ball though.

God I hate people talking about 'real fans' when they don't support the a-league, like every one bagging people like solympic and the old NSL fan just 'cos they're not behing the a-league, I may not agree with them but they're no less 'real fans' than everyone else, everyone's a fan in their own different way.
