WFMB: My best mate's 18th is next week, and he was initially going to have a Star Wars themed party but changed his mind and isn't having a theme. Some girl he invited posted today on the event on Facebook "everyone has to come in some sort of Star Wars costume, or they won't be allowed entry". Love how she thinks it's her party and can decide what evetyone will wear and who will/won't be allowed entry. :lol:

wfmb: was my bday last week & the mrs came through with such an awesome present. when we bought the house we ripped up all the 70s-stylin carpet & underneath the carpet in the study room there was floral lino & then old newspaper from 1961. we kept all the newspaper & were later-date going to make a wall feature or something out of it. anyway, she knew i wanted a super bossy desk for the study for my birthday, so what she did was she bought an antique desk & cut up interesting articles from the newspaper, layed them out on top of the desk, and got a glass sheet cut to size to lay over the top of it. i love me some custom furniture, it's meaningful to the house & room the desk is in as the paper was layed out on the floor. massive boat-floating present!



there's probably 3 pieces on football in there, will have to take photos of them. one is about how i think apia leichardt wanted to pay reg gasnier heaps of coin to change codes from league & play goalkeeper for them, another about feature games in melbourne (i think one of the teams was called hakoah) & talking about yugoslavian international superstars. and another had a picture of some keeper from bristol or something. i'll get some snaps of them.

forgot to add she painted it white & sanded it back to give it that rustic-old-antique-feel.

Looks pretty good mate. Although, I question how much work will be done on it. :lol: I'd spend all my time sitting at that desk reading and re-reading all the old articles, and not getting any work done. :lol:

WFMB: Knocked a bunch of grubs out of the competition today in our semi-final. Down 2-1 with 5 minutes to go and we scored 2 in 2 minutes to win 3-2. Then they completely lost it and there was a flurry of yellow cards and a red to boot.

Reminds me of one of our last games last year. 0-2 down at half time to the division's top team and we hit 3 goals in the last 10 to win it :lol: Best moment of my short footballing career :D

EDIT: Forgot to mention they were MAD afterwards.


WFMB: Drumming. Especially when you're playing to the Super Mario theme and you do 2 takes and nail them both :cool:

Moments like these are what football's all about. These grubs knocked us out 1 game before the GF in 2010 and 2011 so it was sweet, sweet revenge. Not to mention teams 1 and 2 were absolutely stoked we knocked them out. It's the least they deserve.

WFMB: Awesome weekend. Had a bucks part on Saturday which was pretty hectic. Girlfriend coming back from 3 weeks oversesas on Sunday. Getting a text from girlfriend after I left this morning saying it hurts her to walk or sit down now.

WFMB: Chunk! No Captain Chunk. So keen to see them at Soundwave.

WFMB: Tax Return came today. Got a rather healthy deposit to start saving for Europe next year. :)

WFMB: My College's footy team won the grand final yesterday against the same team that thrashed us by 70+ points in last years final. Was definitely the loosest afternoon/night of the year, I'm going to try and shake this hangover off a bit more and then head don for mad Monday.
