WFMB: The Hamster Wheel

WFMB: New HIMYM, last season was a bit disappointing imo but I liked what I saw in the premiere.

Imo the best thing about the premiere was the hint that this really is the last season. Worst thing they could do at this point is go for a season 9.

I do hope they end it this season or next. Last season was pretty poor IMO, I never got into it and I missed a fair few episodes which doesn't normally happen with HIMYM. I was also watching some of the earlier ones from the first two or three seasons and there's a noticeable drop off in quality between those and the episodes from last season. I'm hoping they do end it this year before it becomes too stale.

Best feeling when you find an old card and there's money in it.

Yeah I agree, they really need to go out with a bang imo as the quality has definitely been diminishing but I have faith they can do the show justice. This would have to be the last season surely, especially as Jason Segel is walking after this one.

Yep, I'd agree with that. i used to think it was really good, now I wouldn't bother with it

For me I don't really watch the show to find out who the mother is, and it doesn't annoy me we didn't come close in 7 seasons, what HIMYM did well is create such engaging characters that could suck you in to their daily lives and make you forget the show is actually going nowhere in regards to what it promised. The problem is that now they've ridden that for too long and the show has just gone stale, and the strength of their characters isn't enough to mask it's short comings any more.

Funniest thing in the premiere was Thomas Lennon as Klaus :lol:

The characters are well developed and it's a show that a lot of people can relate to in one way or another on a personal level. But have you ever stopped to think how depressing the show would be without Barney?

It's been time for the show to end and for us to find out who the mother is for quite some time. You can't keep on going like this. You also have to wonder...exactly HOW GOOD is Ted's memory?
